NFL Week 10 First Touchdown Scorer Picks & Predictions

New England Patriots @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Drake Maye should have plenty of opportunities to utilize his legs against the Buccaneers this week. They allow the fourth-most rushing yards to the position this season, allowing 25.3 rushing yards per game to quarterbacks. Maye has 270 rushing yards this season, with an average of 4.6 yards per attempt.

Maye also has two rushing touchdowns on the season, but has not scored on the ground since Week 4. His rushing attempts are trending in the right direction, as well. He has at least seven attempts in each of his last four games, with 160 rushing yards in that span. Maye offers incredible value to score the first touchdown in this matchup.

Pick: Drake Maye (+2200 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

New York Giants @ Chicago Bears

DJ Moore missed practice on Wednesday due to a hip injury and a groin injury and was limited on Thursday, but he is expected to play this week. He is now third on the team in targets, averaging 5.4 per game, but he is also seeing rushing opportunities. He has 12 attempts this season, and six in the last four weeks.

Moore scored his second touchdown of the season last week, and his first since week three. It came on a 17-yard rush. Moore has four targets and two rushing attempts in the red zone this season, so he should have chances to score near the end zone. The Giants allow 0.89 receiving touchdowns to the wide receiver position, which is the seventh-most in the league. Moore offers good value to score first this week.

Pick: DJ Moore (+1200 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Baltimore Ravens @ Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings' weakness this season is against the tight end position. They allow 0.62 touchdowns to the position per game, and have allowed one in each of their last two games. The Ravens have two real threats at the position in Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. Andrews is averaging 4.1 targets per game this season, while Likely averages 1.8.

Likely did not play the first three weeks of the season, and only played with Lamar Jackson for part of the Week 4 matchup. In his first full game with Jackson last week, Likely saw four targets, which he turned into three catches and 60 yards. Likely also saw one target in the red zone, but Andrews caught two touchdowns. Likely is undervalued this week and is a good option to score first in a favorable matchup.

Pick: Isaiah Likely (+2000 via bet365)

Detroit Lions @ Washington Commanders

Marcus Mariota is under center again for the Commanders after Jayden Daniels suffered a scary injury to his non-throwing arm last week. The Lions should get on the board first in this game, and I like the matchup for their wide receivers. The Commanders allowed three touchdowns to wide receivers last week against the Seahawks on Sunday night and are allowing 1.22 touchdowns per game to the position.

Jameson Williams is averaging 4.5 targets per game this season and received six targets last week, which he turned into four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. The Commanders are vulnerable to deep passes, which is Williams' bread-and-butter. They allow the fifth-highest deep pass completion rate and third-most deep passing yards per game. Williams is an excellent play with decent value to score first this week.

Pick: Jameson Williams (+1000 via BetMGM)

Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers

Davante Adams is a touchdown machine with eight touchdowns on the season, which leads the league. He also leads all receivers with 20 targets in the red zone this season. Matthew Stafford and Adams have grown a connection since the beginning of the season. They continue to work well, especially inside the 5-yard line.

Adams has nine targets and five touchdowns near the goal line. He can run fades and slants, and Stafford gets him the ball in the perfect spot. They are highly effective and should have a shot to link up again in this game. The 49ers' defense is good, but they do allow 0.89 receiving touchdowns per game to wide receivers. Adams is a solid play to score the first touchdown in San Francisco.

Pick: Davante Adams (+600 via bet365)
