NFL Week 10 Preview & Predictions: Jets vs. Cardinals (2024)
The Jets are 3-6, but they are not out of playoff contention yet. They have one of the easiest schedules remaining, and Aaron Rodgers is starting to heat up. The 5-4 Cardinals are riding a three-game win streak and are looking to run away with the NFC West. It should be a good matchup between the East and West Coast.
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets beat the Texans last Thursday and enjoyed a long week. Rodgers has been on the injury report for weeks with a knee/hamstring injury, but there is probably no issue. Linebacker C.J. Mosley (neck) and guard Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle/personal) have not practiced all week.
The Cardinals beat the Bears 29-9 last week. They have been getting it done on both sides of the ball, winning four of their previous five. James Conner (finger) was limited this week but should play.

Who Steps Up For The Cardinals?
Kyler Murray only threw for 154 yards last week and ran for six yards. His team won 29-9 and was not needed for the most part. The passing offense can disappear at times. He has thrown for under 200 yards five times this season, and they are 3-2 in those games. That is good news for the Cardinals because the Jets will keep him in check. The Cardinals can win games without Murray but must rely on James Conner.
Conner averages 4.5 yards per attempt and has carried the ball 147 times for 664 yards. He also averages 2.8 targets per game, with 3.6 per game in his last five games. Conner is a workhorse back and is forcing missed tackles at a higher rate (37%) than anyone in the league. The Jets have had trouble tackling runners this season. They have 63 missed tackles on run plays and allow 1.2 rushing touchdowns per game. James Conner should have a great day on the ground, and Murray will contribute with his 8.1 yards per attempt.
Can The Jets Turn It Around?
The Jets got Davante Adams, but Haason Reddick returning may be the biggest player added to this team. He had eight pressures in his second game back against Houston and recorded 0.5 sacks. The team combined for eight sacks in the game, while the Cardinals posted six sacks against the Bears. Both teams will have their work cut out this week. The Cardinals allow 1.6 sacks per game, and the Jets allow 2.2, both in the top half leaguewide. Reddick could be a difference-maker this week.
The offense looked great, with Adams and Garrett Wilson recording 90 yards each. Wilson caught two touchdowns, and Adams secured one. They combined for 21 targets, while the rest of the team had 11. Mike Williams had two, and they traded him to Pittsburgh during the week. Breece Hall ran 15 times for 74 yards, so it looks like the offense will get consolidated to Hall, Wilson, and Adams. Rodgers and company should fair well against this matchup, which allows 23.8 points per game.
