NFL Week 10 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)

It’s time for Week 10 of the National Football League regular season. We have four teams on a bye this week, as the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks are off. A couple of those teams have home venues with terrible weather this time of year, and we saw that firsthand in Green Bay last season.

This week, we have a game at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. Remember that for fantasy lineups, by the way. Allianz Arena is an outdoor venue with a roof over the seating area. It will be a bit on the cool-ish side. In the 11 games on games on Sunday in North America, as well as the Monday night contest, we will have just five games outdoors. So, this is a rather boring column this week.

I love seeing a mess and weather impacting games. Of course, I learned something last week. I am sure a lot of you did, too. In Arizona, the roof was open last week at State Farm Stadium in Glendale and a freak thunderstorm popped up. We had hail bouncing off of the playing surface before the retractable roof was slowly closed. I didn’t know it hailed in the desert, nor was I aware the roof opened at the home of the Cardinals, although I do know they roll the playing surface in and out of the stadium for growing purposes.

As we focus on this week’s weather forecast, we have a couple of trouble spots despite the fact only six total games are outdoors.

Let’s dive into the Week 10 weather report.

NFL Week 10 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions

All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

New York Giants (-6.5) at Carolina Panthers | Total 40.5

Forecast: 42 degrees Fahrenheit (or 5.5 degrees Celsius), 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 2-4 MPH (or 4-6 kilometers per hour)

At Allianz Arena in Bavaria, it will feel like fall for the Giants and Panthers. Temperatures will be barely in the 40s. It will be overcast but with little chance of precipitation and/or wind.

Buffalo Bills (-4) at Indianapolis Colts | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Bills and Colts meet at Lucas Oil Stadium. We’ll see if QB Joe Flacco can have success against a so-so Buffalo pass defense, allowing 209.9 passing yards per game, which ranks 16th in the league.

Minnesota Vikings (-7) at Jacksonville Jaguars | Total 43

Forecast: 80 degrees, 30% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 11-13 MPH

One of the trouble spots, as far as weather is concerned, will be EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. It won’t be a complete washout, but we could see a few showers off and on, perhaps making for a slippery track at times. We’ll have a rather stiff wind, too, whipping up to 15-20 miles per hour (MPH) at times.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Commanders (-3) | Total 45

Forecast: 59 degrees, 40% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 6-8 MPH

The nation’s capital will host the messiest game of the weekend. There is a 40% chance of showers. This will be more than intermittent precipitation like in Jacksonville. We could have a solid rain shield over the DMV for most of Sunday afternoon, causing a slick field.

Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) at New Orleans Saints | Total 46

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Falcons and Saints meet for the second time this season, this time in the Crescent City. The good news is that there appears to be more than a 50% chance of WR Drake London (hip) playing, despite his questionable tag.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) | Total 42

Forecast: 59 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 8-10 MPH

It’s not a 0% chance of precipitation, but it might as well be. The weather should be sensational for this AFC West battle on GEHA Field at Arrowhead, with mostly sunny skies and a steady breeze, but also nothing too terrible.

San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Total 50

Forecast: 86 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

The 49ers make the cross-country trek. They will be crushed by high humidity and summerlike temperatures when they land. They should have RB Christian McCaffrey in tow for the trip, though, which should make them feel a whole lot better.

New England Patriots at Chicago Bears (-6) | Total 38.5

Forecast: 61 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 14-17 MPH

The Windy City will live up to its moniker, as we’ll have some rather gusty conditions at Soldier Field right on the shores of Lake Michigan for this Super Bowl XX rematch.

Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers (-7.5) | Total 39

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Titans and Chargers are under the protection of the roof at SoFi Stadium, although conditions in Southern California would be nice if the teams were outside, too. The Titans could use some protection from the Chargers’ suffocating defense.

Philadelphia Eagles (-7) at Dallas Cowboys | Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

These NFC East rivals battle at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. There is a 0% chance of QB Dak Prescott for the home side, as he has been placed on injured reserve (IR) due to a hamstring injury. That has certainly taken some of the shine off of this late-window game.

New York Jets (-2) at Arizona Cardinals | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

As mentioned above, we had hail… in Arizona… last week. It was surreal. The lumbering retractable roof finally closed, but it took an eternity. Go check out the highlights on YouTube if you missed it.

Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Houston Texans | Total 48.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

Earlier in the season, I also learned that Houston’s NRG Stadium has a retractable roof, too, similar to that of State Farm Stadium. It can be open on clear, cool nights. With precipitation chances greater than 10% at kickoff, it’s unlikely we’ll have the lid open for Sunday Night Football.

Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Rams (-1) | Total 50.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Monday night game will also be played with controlled environmental conditions. On the surface, this game doesn’t look too exciting, but close your eyes, and think about the speed on both sides at receiver, as well as running back. This could be a surprising shootout on the fast track indoors.
