NFL Week 11 Power Rankings (2019)

It was an upside-down week in the NFL as the Titans beat the Chiefs, the Browns beat the Bills, the Falcons beat the Saints, and the Dolphins beat the Colts. There were also plenty of great finishes around the league including in Tampa, Dallas, Oakland, and of course the instant classic in San Francisco. The Seahawks handed the 49ers their first loss of the season, meaning the 1972 Dolphins can start celebrating.

32) Cincinnati Bengals (Prev: 32)
Ryan Finley threw for 167 yards, one touchdown, and an interception as the Bengals were embarrassed at home by Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. The offense turned the ball over three times, two of which were returned for touchdowns.

31) Washington Redskins (Prev: 29)
The Redskins had off this week and welcome the Jets to town next week for a game that will surely impact the draft order.

30) New York Giants (Prev: 27)
Daniel Jones had 308 yards and four touchdowns, but couldn’t put a drive together late in the fourth quarter to tie the game. That’s six straight losses for the Giants who at a point were 2-2. They’re off next week, then travel to Chicago to take on the Bears.

29) New York Jets (Prev: 31)
The Jets scored the final 13 points of the game in their comeback victory over the Giants. The offense had zero turnovers, and the defense forced two, including a Jamal Adams 25-yard fumble recovery touchdown.

28) Miami Dolphins (Prev: 30)
The Dolphins have won two-straight games, the latest on the road over the Indianapolis Colts. The defense was outstanding against backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, intercepting him three times and holding the Colts to just 12 points on the day. The Dolphins are 5-0 ATS in their last five games.

27) Atlanta Falcons (Prev: 28)
Not only did the Falcons upset the Saints, but they also dominated them in every facet of the game from start to finish. The defense didn’t allow a single touchdown and finished with six sacks of Drew Brees. Devonta Freeman suffered an ankle injury, which left the door open for backup Brian Hill who finished with 20 carries for 61 yards and a receiving touchdown.

26) Arizona Cardinals (Prev: 26)
The Cardinals fell 30-27 in what was arguably the most entertaining game of the weekend. Kyler Murray threw for 324 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, his first in 211 passes. He and the offense looked utterly confused trying to run the two-minute drill at the end of the game. That’s three straight losses with a trip to San Francisco looming.

25) Detroit Lions (Prev: 18)
The Lions played their first game in 136 without Matthew Stafford, and they struggled early on offense falling behind 20-6. Jeff Driskel was good in relief with 269 yards, one touchdown, and an interception, but he struggled at the end of the game, a time when Stafford normally flourishes. The Lions have now dropped five of their last six games.

24) Cleveland Browns (Prev: 25)
Before this week’s matchup against Buffalo, Myles Garrett said the 2-6 Browns were going to finish 10-6. Well, they’re headed in the right direction after their 19-16 win over the Bills. Their next two games are at home against the Steelers and the Dolphins.

23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Prev: 24)
Jameis Winston threw two interceptions but rallied when it mattered, leading a six-play, 92-yard drive for the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. The offense had 457 yards, 358 of which came from Winston’s arm.

22) Denver Broncos (Prev: 23)
With the loss by the Chiefs this week, the 3-6 Broncos are still only two games out of first place in the AFC West in the loss column. They travel to Minnesota this week to take on the Vikings.

21) Los Angeles Chargers (Prev: 19)
After taking the lead with just over four minutes left, the Chargers gave up a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that took the Raiders just three minutes. Philip Rivers threw three interceptions, including one for a touchdown, and he was unable to move the ball at all on the Chargers’ final drive of the game.

20) Chicago Bears (Prev: 21)
Mitchell Trubisky had his best game of the year, throwing for 169 yards and three touchdowns as the Bears hung on to defeat the Lions. The offense still only mustered 226 yards compared to the 357 yards the defense gave up.

19) Jacksonville Jaguars (Prev: 20)
The Jaguars will get Nick Foles back after the bye, putting an end, at least for now, to Minshew Mania. Jacksonville was 4-4 in games started by Minshew.

18) Tennessee Titans (Prev: 22)
Ryan Tannehill led a 61-yard game-winning touchdown drive in under a minute, as the Titans pulled the home upset over the Chiefs. Derrick Henry rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns, including a 68-yarder. The defense gave up 571 yards of offense but blocked a field goal as time expired to secure the victory.

17) Buffalo Bills (Prev: 13)
Many were surprised to see the Bills as underdogs against the Browns, and yet sure enough Vegas was right. Josh Allen had two touchdown runs, but the defense was unable to stop Baker Mayfield and the Browns from mounting a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. Stephen Hauschka missed a 53-yard field goal as time expired.

16) Indianapolis Colts (Prev: 9)
The Colts didn’t have Jacoby Brissett this weekend, but that does not make it any less painful to lose a home game to the Dolphins. Brian Hoyer threw three interceptions in the game, the same amount that Brissett has thrown all season. The defense held the Dolphins to 229 yards and just 13 first downs, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory.

15) Los Angeles Rams (Prev: 12)
The Rams’ offense is a serious problem. They scored just three points and turned the ball over four times against the Steelers. The defense scored a defensive touchdown and a safety, and managed to hold the Steelers to just 10 offensive points. Next week against the Bears is a must-win for the Rams.

14) Carolina Panthers (Prev: 16)
Kyle Allen threw for a career-high 307 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Packers on a snowy day in Lambeau. The Panthers drop to 5-4 but are still in the hunt for a wild card spot in the crowded NFC. They’ll welcome the Falcons to Carolina next week, in what is likely a must-win for the Panthers.

13) Oakland Raiders (Prev: 17)
The Raiders continue to improve with each passing week and now find themselves at 5-4, just a half-game behind the Chiefs, and tied with them in the loss column. Josh Jacobs continued his impressive rookie season with 71 yards and the game-winning touchdown near the end of the fourth quarter. The defense was much improved this week with three interceptions of Philip Rivers, including one for a touchdown.

12) Philadelphia Eagles (Prev: 14)
The Eagles enjoyed their bye week, after winning their last two games to get back above .500. They welcome the Patriots to town Sunday for a rematch of Super Bowl LII.

11) Dallas Cowboys (Prev: 10)
Dak Prescott threw for 397 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, but the Cowboys’ rush offense managed just 50 yards in the Sunday night loss to the Vikings. The Cowboys are now 5-4 with a very tough back half of the schedule that consists of trips to Detroit, New England, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

10) Pittsburgh Steelers (Prev: 15)
The Steelers’ defense played lights out football against the Rams on Sunday, and now Pittsburgh is 5-4 and right in the thick of the AFC hunt. After starting 1-4, the Steelers have rattled off four straight wins.

9) Houston Texans (Prev: 11)
The Texans still lead the crowded AFC South but weren’t gifted anything during the bye week when the Titans took down the Chiefs to move to 5-5. They travel to Baltimore this week to take on the red-hot Ravens.

8) Green Bay Packers (Prev: 8)
Aaron Jones rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns, and the defense made a huge goal-line stand to send the Packers to 8-2 on the season. Had the Panthers punched the ball in at the end, many would have questioned the Packers’ decision to go for the touchdown rather than a chip shot field goal at the end of the first half. But the Packers keep winning and are right in the hunt for the number 1 seed in the NFC.

7) Minnesota Vikings (Prev: 7)
Dalvin Cook amassed 187 all-purpose yards, as the Vikings traveled to Dallas and took care of the Cowboys in a huge NFC matchup. The Vikings are currently the six-seed in the NFC playoff picture. Four of their last six games are against the NFC, with three of those games coming against the NFC North.

6) Kansas City Chiefs (Prev: 4)
Patrick Mahomes started, yet the Chiefs still fell at Tennessee, dropping their record to 1-3 against the AFC South and shrinking their lead in the AFC West to just a half-game over the Raiders. The special teams unit was a disaster late, botching a snap which led to the go-ahead touchdown by the Titans, then having the game-tying field goal blocked as time expired.

5) New Orleans Saints (Prev: 1)
What an embarrassing performance by the Saints who many regarded as the best team in the NFL after the Patriots’ loss to the Ravens. They failed to score a touchdown at home against one of the worst defenses in the league and the offensive line gave up six sacks. The defense struggled to get off the field, losing the time of possession battle 33:46 – 26:14.

4) San Francisco 49ers (Prev: 2)
Poor Chase McLaughlin. He drilled a 47-yard field goal at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime, but after Russell Wilson threw an interception in overtime, he shanked the game-winning kick far to the left, and with his kick so went the 49ers’ undefeated season. The defense forced four turnovers in the victory, including a 12-yard scoop and score by DeForest Buckner.

3) Seattle Seahawks (Prev: 6)
The Seahawks went to San Francisco and handed the undefeated 49ers their first loss of the season in a thrilling contest that took all of overtime to decide. After falling behind 10-0, they stormed back to take a 21-10 lead, before blowing the lead in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. After Russell Wilson threw an interception in the red zone on the first drive of overtime, he redeemed himself with a huge 21-yard scamper on third down to set up the eventual game-winning field goal

2) Baltimore Ravens (Prev: 5)
Lamar Jackson continued his incredible season, throwing more touchdowns than incompletions in the Ravens’ rout of the Bengals. His 47-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was easily one of the best of the season. Marcus Peters and Tyus Bowser added defensive touchdowns.

1) New England Patriots (Prev: 3)
The Patriots had off this week after their first loss of the season and will travel to Philadelphia next week for a matchup with the 5-4 Eagles. The Patriots are 14-5 coming off the bye under Bill Belichick.
