NFL Week 13 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)
It’s Week 13 of the National Football League (NFL) regular season. Every team is in action, with three games on Thanksgiving Day, the relatively new tradition of a Black Friday game in Kansas City, the full(er) slate on Sunday, and Monday Night Football. It’s a weekend ‘stuffed’ full of football, and we don’t really have a ton of trouble spots despite the fact we’re rounding the corner and heading into December.
There is definitely a chill in the air in most venues across the United States, but we shouldn’t have many places dealing with precipitation.
Unfortunately, if you’re an old-school football fan who enjoys the elements, you’re a bit out of luck. Just one of the three games on Thanksgiving is outdoors. Friday’s game in Kansas City is outside, while Sunday has eight of the 11 games played outdoors. The Monday night game is in Denver, too, but it won’t be terrible.
Let’s dive into the Week 13 weather report.

NFL Week 13 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions
All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (-9.5) | Total 48.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
The Bears and Lions will be safe from the elements at Ford Field in the first game of the day. Man, if you’ve watched football all your life like I have, you’ve seen a lot of BAD Lions football on Thanksgiving. I remember a lot of them when I wasn’t doing anything else. My favorite might still be the Jerome Bettis coin flip game. The Bears have won three straight trips to Detroit on Thanksgiving since 2018. Detroit has lost seven in a row on Thanksgiving.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) | Total 37.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
The Giants and Cowboys are playing inside at Jerry World. There is a 0% chance of Tommy Devito, as he did not make the trip due to a forearm injury. QB Drew Lock appears in line to battle QB Cooper Rush. Wow. Ratings galore!
Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers (-3.5) | Total 47.5
Forecast: 27 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 10-12 MPH
The Dolphins travel to Lambeau Field, and it will be a balmy 27 degrees with little chance of precipitation. We might get some flurries, but not much accumulation. There will be a very chilly wind, however, and it could affect the passing and kicking games.
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5) | Total 42.5
Forecast: 37 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 3-5 MPH
The Raiders invade GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to battle the Chiefs on Black Friday. For the Raiders, it’s more like Black Cloud Friday, after losing QB Gardner Minshew to a broken collarbone last week. They’re a rudderless ship.
Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons | Total 47.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
The Chargers head east for a battle against the Falcons at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Chargers are east of the Mississippi for the fourth time this season. The Under is 3-0 in the first three trips.
Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) at New England Patriots | Total 42.5
Forecast: 38 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 8-10 MPH
The Colts head outdoors to tangle with the Patriots, but while this was a big-time rivalry a few years ago in the Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady days, Anthony Richardson vs. Drake Maye doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
Houston Texans (-4.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars | Total 43.5
Forecast: 62 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 6-8 MPH
The Texans and Jaguars meet in Duval County, and temperatures are going to be pretty mild for Florida. There will be only light breezes, and no signs of precipitation to bother this AFC South Division battle.
Seattle Seahawks (-1.5) at New York Jets | Total 42.5
Forecast: 36 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 9-11 MPH
In the New York City metropolitan area, we won’t have any signs of precipitation, but the temperatures will be rather chilly, with breezy conditions. The passing and kicking games could be bothered by occasional gusts.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5) | Total 47.5
Forecast: 29 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 7-9 MPH
In the Queen City, the Steelers and Bengals lock horns in an AFC North Division battle with plenty on the line. The Bengals are trying to claw their way back into the playoff picture, and the Steelers would love to kick them back down a notch.
Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders (-6.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: 41 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 5-7 MPH
The Titans aren’t waving the white flag, as they went down to Houston and picked up a huge win. Now, they head to the nation’s capital looking for their first two-game win streak of the season.
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
The Cardinals and Vikings do battle in a game on Sunday with plenty of playoff implications in the NFC picture. Let’s see if QB Daniel Jones brings a little luck to the Vikings, although he is certainly not expected to play.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-5.5) at Carolina Panthers | Total 46.5
Forecast: 51 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 6-8 MPH
It’s going to be very cloudy in the ‘other’ Queen City on Sunday, but there is nearly no chance of precipitation with mild temperatures for this NFC South showdown between two teams looking for a divisional win.
Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) at New Orleans Saints | Total 46.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
We get an old NFC West matchup. Yes, kids, the Saints (and the Falcons) used to be in the NFC West back in the day. The Rams are averaging 22.0 PPG with 24.0 PPG allowed in three games east of the Mississippi River in 2024.
Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens (-3) | Total 51.5
Forecast: 41 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 6-9 MPH
This is going to be a shootout in Charm City, as the Eagles take the bus down from Philadelphia to tangle with Baltimore. QB Lamar Jackson and RB Derrick Henry vs. QB Jalen Hurts and RB Saquon Barkley on a fast, dry track. Get your popcorn ready.
San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills (-6.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: 30 degrees, 40% chance of snow
Wind speed: 8-10 MPH
Here we go! The Niners and Bills are expected to play in the second primetime snow game of the season. Originally, the forecast had the snow tapering off shortly before kickoff, but now the forecast is calling for a snow shower with a half-inch to an inch of accumulation during game time. It might not be enough to affect too many aspects of the game, but we could see more of a ground-based attack. The winds and snow could affect the kicking game, too.
Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos (-5.5) | Total 41.5
Forecast: 32 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 4-6 MPH
The Browns and Broncos will play in the Mile High City. While temperatures will be right at freezing, it won’t affect either of these teams accustomed to cold weather. Sadly, we won’t have a second straight snow game for the Browns.
