NFL Week 14 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Longshot Bets (2023)

Last week, we hit all three of our longshot bets. Not only did the New England Patriots score fewer than seven points, but they were shut out. The Arizona Cardinals won by 14, and the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets combined for exactly one touchdown.

What should we expect in Week 14?

Best NFL Week 14 Longshot Bets

Justin Fields 100+ Rushing Yards (+575)

The last time Fields played against the Detroit Lions, he ran the ball 18 times for 104 yards. The Lions' defense hasn't looked any better since that game, while Fields went out and ran for 59 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in his last game.

Over the last few weeks, the Lions' pass rush has been a problem. They're giving opposing quarterbacks far too much time, allowing even the most mediocre quarterbacks to throw and run all over them. The Lions now rank sixth-worst in the NFL in sacks per game.

With all the time in the world, Fields will take his time, survey the defense, and then take off and run if the Lions are willing to give him space. Fields set the record for most QB rushing yards in a quarter against the Lions at the end of last season. After what he did three weeks ago, this is clearly a matchup he likes to exploit with his legs.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Las Vegas Raiders Under 28.5 Points (+425)

Despite his four-interception game against the Bears, Josh Dobbs will remain the starting quarterback for the Vikings this week. His matchup isn't a great one. He'll face the Raiders and their 13th-ranked pass defense.

The Raiders have held three of their last four opponents to 20 or fewer points, including the Miami Dolphins. Additionally, they haven't scored more than 17 points in their last three games, and they're averaging just 16.8 points per game.

The Vikings boast the eighth-best scoring defense in the NFL. Offensively, they get Justin Jefferson back this week. However, even with Jefferson, Dobbs and the Vikings are going to struggle with an improving Raiders' defense. 

Indianapolis Colts Over 30.5 Points (+360)

Jake Browning and the Cincinnati Bengals pulled out a huge Monday Night Football win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13. Despite how good the Bengals' offense looked, the defense continues to be a problem.

The Bengals have now allowed at least 30 points in three of their last four games. On the season, they're allowing the 22nd-most points per game and have the sixth-worst pass defense in the league.

The Colts have the eighth-best scoring offense in football, and they should put up great numbers in a favorable matchup this week. There's always the chance that Browning falls back to earth and the Colts dominate this game. However, the Colts are allowing 24.7 points per game, so this has shoot-out written all over it.
