NFL Week 15 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)

It’s Week 15 of the National Football League (NFL) regular season. We’ve had some shaky weather situations lately, especially with the white stuff in primetime games in Week 12 and 13 in Cleveland and Buffalo. Last week, we saw some rain and showers, which affected the first half of the Thursday game in Week 15 in Santa Clara between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.

Looking ahead to Week 15, all of the teams are back in action, as there are no longer bye weeks. However, we have six indoor venues, and there is no threat of wintry precipitation this weekend. Originally, the weather looked like it could rear its ugly head in multiple locations, but the forecast has improved for certain venues.

Let’s dive into the Week 15 weather report.

NFL Week 15 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Washington Commanders (-7.5) at New Orleans Saints | Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels returns to the state of Louisiana for his first game as a pro. He starred at LSU last season and won the 2023 Heisman Trophy as a member of the Bayou Bengals.

Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans (-3) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 77 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 13-16 MPH

If the retractable roof at NRG Stadium is open, temperatures in H-Town should be rather pleasant. We’ll have mostly cloudy conditions, but the winds will kick off on the Gulf Coast, which might mean a closed roof.

New York Jets (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars | Total 40.5

Forecast: 71 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 11-13 MPH

The Jets and Jaguars meet in Duval in a battle between 3-10 teams. Does anyone actually want to win and affect their draft position rather dramatically? This is going to be a terrible football game, but at least the weather will be pleasant.

Cincinnati Bengals (-5) at Tennessee Titans | Total 46.5

Forecast: 56 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 10-12 MPH

Originally, rain was in the forecast for Nashville, but the outlook has changed. There is now just a slight chance of precipitation, with mostly cloudy conditions and moderate winds.

Baltimore Ravens (-16.5) at New York Giants | Total 42.5

Forecast: 37 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 4-6 MPH

There is a very slight chance of precipitation, perhaps even a flurry. But we’re likely to see more drones in the sky in New Jersey than we see raindrops or snowflakes.

Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5) at Cleveland Browns | Total 43

Forecast: 43 degrees, 50% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 17-19 MPH

QB Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs roll into Cleveland, and this will be the ugliest weather of any NFL venue in Week 15. There is a good chance of showers, perhaps steady at times, with cool temperatures and winds blowing 17-19 MPH off of Lake Erie, gusting to 20-25 MPH. The passing and kicking games could potentially be affected here.

Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers (-3) | Total 43

Forecast: 46 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

The Panthers are favoured for the first time since Dec. 18, 2022, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Carolina is 0-9 SU/ATS in the past nine as a favorite since Sept. 23, 2021, so make of that what you will.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles (-5.5) | Total 43

Forecast: 40 degrees, 35% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 6-8 MPH

In the battle of the Keystone State, the Steelers and Eagles might have to contend with showers rolling in for the second half. The first half should be completely dry. Winds will also gradually pick up as the weather moves in.

Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions (-2.5) | Total 54.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

Many fans and talking heads are calling this marquee battle a potential Super Bowl preview. It’s uncertain if Lake Erie will freeze entirely this winter, but if the Bills and Lions play for an NFL championship, hell might freeze over.

Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos (-4.5) | Total 44

Forecast: 54 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 12-14 MPH

The Colts and Broncos meet in the Mile High City, and the conditions couldn’t be more pleasant. There will be abundant sunshine, while the winds will be rather steady on the front range.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5) | Total 45

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Buccaneers and Chargers meet in a game that actually has quite a few playoff implications for both teams in their respective conferences. Under controlled environmental conditions, this should be a surprisingly fun game.

New England Patriots at Arizona Cardinals (-6) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 66 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 2-4 MPH

Earlier this season, we saw hail with the roof open at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Temperatures will be rather mild, and there will not be much, if any, wind. The roof could potentially be open on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers (-2.5) at Seattle Seahawks | Total 45.5

Forecast: 43 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 2-4 MPH

In the Pacific Northwest, we generally have shaky weather situations at this time of the year. Still, Sunday Night Football will see rather pleasant weather in Seattle for this nationally televised battle with huge playoff implications.

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (-6.5) | Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

In this NFC North battle, the Vikings are looking to keep pace with the Detroit Lions and perhaps even pull into a tie for first place if the Buffalo Bills can come through. This isn’t a slam-dunk win, though, as the Vikings needed overtime to win the first matchup.

Atlanta Falcons (-4) at Las Vegas Raiders | Total 44

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

It’s the Desmond Ridder revenge game, folks. It’s an indoor game with controlled environmental conditions, but Ridder has a 100% chance of being salty trying to make his former team pay.
