NFL Week 2 Parlay: Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

Week 2 in the NFL is always an interesting one. This is when we see a lot of overreactions from the previous week, and it sometimes skews the odds. This is a great time to take advantage of these opening lines.

Here are some early odds to grab before they move.

Leg #1. Chargers vs. Chiefs over 54.5 total points  | -115 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Chargers and Chiefs' offense looked great on offense on Sunday, and although it's just the first game, both teams are living up to the offseason hype.

People wanted to know how Patrick Mahomes and this offense would fare without Tyreek Hill, and it's more like: Tyreek Who? Mahomes was good on his word that there wasn't a No. 1 receiver as he spread the ball around. This new receiving core had five different players with at least four targets in the 44-21 win against Arizona.

At 62.3% last season, they were the sixth heaviest passing offense last year, but they may have found an excellent running back tandem in Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon, and Isiah Pacheco. The three looked excellent as they ran for 126 yards on 23 carries, averaging 5.4 yards per run.

We also saw that Justin Herbert and this Chargers offense have a ton of talent. He also spread the ball around with seven receivers getting at least four targets. Big credit goes to the offensive line, with rookie Zion Johnson going against a talented Las Vegas defensive front. We did not see them give up that much pressure, allowing Herbert to let plays develop.

For how good these two quarterbacks are, the total is coming in a little low at 54.5. In division battle, we should these two offenses go off.

Leg #2. Bengals -7 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Bengals are going to be okay. It was best for Burrow to get that awful performance out of the way in Week 1, and he can move and be the talented quarterback player he is.

The scoreboard did not go the way they wanted,  but they ran an absurd 94 plays, had 32 first downs, and 432 total yards.

The Cowboys don't have Dak Prescott for a long time. We've seen the Cowboys’ offense when he's not behind center, and it's abysmal. It might be worse than in 2020 when he missed the final 11 games - there are holes in that offensive line, and even before Prescott left the game, you could see them allowing pressure.

Leonard Fournette ran all over this Cowboys defensive line, and besides Trevon Diggs, the secondary did not look like the 2021 version that led the league in interceptions. Cincinnati will bounce back and win by more than a touchdown this week.

Leg #3. Giants -2.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Giants proved a lot last week. I'm not saying they're Super Bowl bound, but if this were the Ben McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, or Joe Judge era, this team isn't staging a comeback or even going for the win with a two-point conversion. Brian Daboll has injected a new culture into this team.

The Panthers’ offense is very similar to the Titans - they want to run the ball with Christian McCaffrey and open things up for Baker Mayfield in the passing game. The Giants’ defensive line did an excellent job in not allowing Derrick Henry to get into the backfield.

Nothing really about Mayfield, and that offense makes you believe they'll put up a lot of points. Their only big play of the day was the 75-yard touchdown on a blown coverage.

I love this spread under a field goal, but I wouldn’t take any higher.
