NFL Week 2 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)

It should be a tremendous weekend of action, and Mother Nature isn’t expected to rear her ugly head. In fact, we have some rather unseasonable temperatures in places where it will feel closer to mid-to late October rather than early September. Will there be any rough spots for weather in Week 2 that might affect fantasy performances?

Let’s find out in the Week 2 weather report!

NFL Week 1 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2024)

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com)

Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens (-8.5) | Total 41.5

Forecast: 81 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 8-10 MPH

The Raiders are outside for the first time this season after opening under the roof at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last week. We’ll have some light breezes in Charm City, but nothing should bother the play.

Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5) at Carolina Panthers | Total 39

Forecast: 77 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 12-14 MPH

The Chargers head to the Eastern Time Zone for the first of five games this season. Although the weather may be windy, the grass at Bank of America Stadium will be mostly dry.

New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys (-6.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

We’ll have two indoor teams facing off in the Metroplex at Jerry World. While there is no precipitation to worry about, the sun can occasionally be a nuisance, especially in the second half.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions (-7.5) | Total 51.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Buccaneers are indoors for the first of three games under a dome in the first six weekends. The Lions are home for the second straight game against a team they faced and beat in the playoffs last season.

Indianapolis Colts (-3) at Green Bay Packers | Total 40.5

Forecast: 84 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-8 MPH

The Colts head outdoors for the first time this season. You can tell it’s September, as the temperature in Green Bay is tied for the warmest in the NFL in Week 2 with Denver, Kansas City, and Nashville.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) | Total 41.5

Forecast: 81 degrees, 40% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 10-13 MPH

The tailgates will be soggy, and showers should persist through most of the first half. The track could be a bit slick and winds 10-13 MPH will also be present, so we might have a more run-based offense, especially early on.

San Francisco 49ers (-4.5) at Minnesota Vikings | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Christian McCaffrey-less 49ers invade U.S. Bank Stadium in the Twin Cities to tangle with their old QB Sam Darnold and the rest of the Vikings. Can RB Jordan Mason perform well for a second straight outing?

Seattle Seahawks (-3) at New England Patriots | Total 38.5

Forecast: 77 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

Like Green Bay above, the weather will be pleasant in New England for the home opener. You can tell it’s only September. Both teams are used to playing in wet conditions, but there is nothing to worry about here.

New York Jets (-3) at Tennessee Titans | Total 41

Forecast: 84 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

The Jets play on a short week, heading to the Music City to battle the Titans in their home opener. Both teams are looking for their first wins of the season, and while we’ll get mostly cloudy conditions, the track will be mostly dry.

New York Giants at Washington Commanders (-1.5) | Total 43

Forecast: 78 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 6-9 MPH

We have the first NFC East Division battle of the season in the nation’s capital. It will be dry at FedEx Field unless, of course, a pipe bursts or something of that nature. In D.C., you really never know.

Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals (-1) | Total 48

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Rams are indoors for the second straight game to open the season, and they play outside just once in the first seven contests. It’s the first NFC West Division battle of the season, too.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs (-6) | Total 48

Forecast: 84 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-10 MPH

We get an AFC Championship Game rematch from two seasons ago. The Bengals crushed a ton of Survivor Pools last week with an unexpected loss to the Patriots, and now they get the Chiefs. Hey, at least it will be dry.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5) at Denver Broncos | Total 36.5

Forecast: 84 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

The Steelers and Broncos square off in the Mile High City. Will we see QB Russell Wilson against his former team? That’s what everyone wants to see. What we won’t see is any rain or much wind in the rarefied air.

Chicago Bears at Houston Texans (-6.5) | Total 45.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

We’ll get the No. 1 overall pick QB Caleb Williams facing the No. 1 overa…oh wait, that’s right. The Panthers are morons, and the Texans happily drafted QB C.J. Stroud No. 2 overall last season.

Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) | Total 47

Forecast: 71 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-10 MPH

QB Kirk Cousins searches for his first win in an Atlanta uniform on Monday Night Football. That usually doesn’t work out well, as he is 3-10 all-time on MNF. At least Cousins won’t have to deal with any rain or much wind.
