NFL Week 2 Weather Report & Predictions (2025)
We’re on to Week 2 of the National Football League (NFL) regular season, and we have our usual busy slate Sunday into Monday. The weather was a bit of an issue in Week 1, as the Thursday night game in Philadelphia, as well as a Sunday afternoon contest in Jacksonville, saw delays due to weather. The battle between the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars had a delay of over an hour due to thunderstorms.
This week we have eight games indoors on Sunday, sadly enough, which means very few trouble spots.
Let’s dive into the NFL Week 2 weather report.

NFL Week 2 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions
(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-11.5) | Total 45.5
Forecast: 83 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 3-5 MPH
The return of QB Joe Flacco to Charm City will come on a Chamber of Commerce Day. Last week, we had a late October feel to some of the games, but this one will feel like summer again.
Los Angeles Rams (-5.5) at Tennessee Titans | Total 41.5
Forecast: 88 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH
The Rams head outdoors to battle the Titans in the Music City. The weather forecast calls for summer-like temperatures, and a very, very light breeze. For whatever reason, the precipitation percentages bump up to 20% sometime in the second half, but officially it is still expected to be partly cloudy.
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (-6.5) | Total 47.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Bears will head to the Motor City on a short week, going indoors after playing on Monday night against the Vikings. The Lions are inside for the first time after losing to the Packers last Sunday at Lambeau Field.
Buffalo Bills (-6.5) at New York Jets | Total 47.5
Forecast: 81 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 4-6 MPH
This AFC East battle between the Bills and Jets will battle under the sunshine, and there will be a very small chance of precipitation or wind. Look for the ball to be flying again at the Meadowlands this weekend.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Giants are on the road for the second consecutive divisional game in as many weeks. They were outdoors in D.C. against the Commanders in Week 1, now they’re under the roof in Big D.
San Francisco 49ers (-3) at New Orleans Saints | Total 40.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The weather certainly won’t be interesting, as this one is played under the roof in NOLA. The 49ers will be shorthanded, with QB Brock Purdy out, and TE George Kittle on the Reserve/Injured list. The most interesting thing about this old NFC West battle is who is NOT playing.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (-2.5) | Total 43.5
Forecast: 87 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH
It might feel cooler in other parts of the country, but in South Florida, summer still has a firm grip on the weather, and will for some time. The heat index will be in the 90’s, and there will be little wind to speak of. There is always a chance of precipitation with a passing rogue shower, but that simply makes it even more steamy after it passes.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) | Total 49.5
Forecast: 82 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH
It’s another outdoor game, and another situation where weather won’t really be a factor. The Jaguars will feel temperatures in the 80’s and they’ll feel like they’re in Duval.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) | Total 40.5
Forecast: 81 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 3-5 MPH
It’s another game, and another non-issue as far as the weather is concerned. The most important part of this game is how Steelers WR DK Metcalf plans to rain down on his former team.
Denver Broncos (-2.5) at Indianapolis Colts | Total 43.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Broncos and Colts will be under the roof, and QB Daniel Jones looks to carry over his momentum from an impressive opening game win over the Miami Dolphins.
Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals (-6.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: 94 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 3-5 MPH
There is a chance the roof could be open at State Farm Stadium, so we’ll include the temperature and wind. There is no chance of precipitation like that one time last season when a freak storm caused rain and even some hail in a home game for the Cardinals.
Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5) at Kansas City Chiefs | Total 46.5
Forecast: 90 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 10-12 MPH
Man, we were hard-pressed to find a place this week with any remote threat from weather. While the precipitation will not be an issue, the passing and kicking games could be affected by a stiff wind in this Super Bowl 59 rematch.
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) | Total 44.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
On Sunday Night Football, the Falcons and Vikings get together. If you remember in the Robin Williams-Kurt Russell movie, “The Best of Times”, Atlanta-Minnesota was the game they were secretly watching while having dinner while they were trying to get back with their wives. If you’re never watched that movie, do yourself a favor.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texas (-2.5) (Monday) | Total 42.5
Forecast: 88 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 10-14 MPH
There is a remore possibility of the roof being open at NRG Stadium on Monday night, but you never know. The winds will be howling at this hurricane-proof NFL venue.
Los Angeles Chargers (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders (Monday) | Total 46.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
In the final game of the weekend, the second of a Monday night doubleheader, we’ll get an AFC West battle under the roof. We’re going to need some rain or wind next week to make things interesting. Man, winter can’t get here quickly enough! Good luck with your plays in Week 2.
