Early NFL Week 5 Parlay #1

Leg 1: Dak Prescott 30+ Pass Attempts (-375)

Our first two legs of this parlay focus on the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Buccaneers and Cowboys. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys made a comeback in the final possession of the game in Week 4 to beat the Houston Texans on Sunday. Dallas threw the ball on 45 plays - an additional five attempts from the prior week. Dak Prescott has attempted no fewer than 31 passes in any contest this season.

The offense for the Cowboys is heavily dependent on Prescott’s arm - as well as three-score performances from Javonte Williams. The veteran quarterback threw the ball on at least 30 plays in nine consecutive home games dating back to last season.

Leg 2: Dallas Cowboys Team Total Over 23.5 Points (-295)

There are two avenues that we heavily considered for this leg of the parlay. The first was to raise the team’s total points to 30+ and insert a positive return into our parlay odds. Dallas has scored 30+ points in three consecutive contests and is averaging 35.5 points per game at home this season.

For our purposes, dropping the points down to 23.5 is more than satisfactory. The Cowboys are scoring 33 points per game on nearly 356 total yards each contest. Dallas scored 24+ points in all four games this season, including five of their last six at home.

Let 3: Bhayshul Tuten 50+ Rushing Yards (-184)

We close out our parlay with a recency bias play that could easily be eclipsed by halftime. Bhayshul Tuten is averaging 69.2 yards this season on 4.6 yards per carry.

Tuten has rushed for no fewer than 65 yards in all four games. He hasn't had the "home run" day that many are anticipating. Having said that, the young running back has been a model of consistency, and we will continue to back his yards until he gives us reason not to.

Early NFL Week 5 Parlay #2

Leg 1: Cincinnati Bengals Moneyline (-345)

Our second parlay features a couple of Moneyline bets with an over on a contest that looks way too low at first glance. The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a tough loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.

To make matters worse, Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (abductor injury) were both injured. The injury to Higgins occurred on the Bengals’ final drive of the game. Despite the injuries, we are betting on Joe Burrow to provide enough offense to beat a struggling Miami team.

The Dolphins have held their own in a few contests. Yet, ultimately, they were defeated. Miami is 0-4 this season and has serious issues at quarterback. Malik Willis has found just one player in the end zone in four games.

Unfortunately, the young quarterback has completed two passes to the opposing team. Even if the Bengals are down two studs at wide receiver, it's difficult to envision Willis outplaying Joe Burrow.

Leg 2: San Francisco 49ers Moneyline (+124)

San Francisco continues to pile up wins through the first four games. The Niners’ offense was anything but in sync through the first half on Sunday against the Broncos. The second half ended with San Francisco scoring 21 points over 30 minutes.

Kyle Shanahan is locked in right now, and Brock Purdy is clearly an early MVP candidate. The Seahawks dismantled every aspect of the 49ers in their final two matchups last season - one of which was an opportunity to play for the NFC Conference Championship.

San Francisco totaled nine points over the last two games against the Seahawks. Revenge is on the menu for Sunday, and Seattle is the main course. The 49ers have allowed more than 20 points just once this season, while averaging over 30 points per game.

The Seahawks do not look anywhere near the dominant juggernaut we saw last season. San Francisco has been waiting for this opportunity since an embarrassing 41-6 playoff loss. The positive return makes this leg even sweeter.

Leg 3: Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans Over 39.5 Points (-110)

The Titans haven't been firing on all cylinders in terms of scoring. Sunday was a step in the right direction for Tennessee. The team scored 18 points in the loss to Baltimore after scoring only seven points in the prior week. The Titans have eclipsed 39.5 points in two out of four games, and could reach 20 points for the second time this season against an unexpectedly gracious Texans defense.

Houston is allowing 27.25 points per game and has conceded at least 30 points in two games. The Texans are averaging over 21 points on offense. Both teams are winless this season. We expect each team to pursue relentlessly to avoid going 0-5 and save their playoff hopes. With Nico Collins back in the lineup, Houston’s offense is completely different, averaging 30.5 points with him on the field.
