The Jets’ passing game has not taken off quite like expected with Rodgers in the lineup. But the Vikings’ defense has been tough against the run (75 yards per game) and weak against the pass (274.3 yards per game allowed).
Like every other team the Vikings have faced this season, the Jets will be forced to pass to play catch-up. While the struggle has been real for the Jets’ passing game sometimes, Rodgers is good enough to make it work for more than 225.5.

With the Vikings having one of the better run defenses in the league and the worst pass defense, it just makes sense for the Jets to throw early and often. They’ll probably need to throw 35+ times to be competitive in this game with Sam Darnold and the Vikings’ pass game.

Against a defense as good as the Jets, the Vikings will need to be as balanced as possible to keep the Jets D from being able to focus on one aspect of the Minnesota game. Jones has rushed for 90+ in three of four games. As long as he gets double-digit carries, he’ll go for more than 64.5 yards.
Don’t expect him to get much more than that because the Jets’ defense will be tough to gain yards against. The only thing that may hold him back is if the Jets get out to a lead and force the Vikings to abandon the run.

Against the Vikings’ lackluster pass defense, he’ll probably see more balls come his way rather than less. Since he averages 12.9 yards per catch, he will not need many to go over his total.
