NFL Week 6 Picks & Predictions: Broncos vs. Chargers
Yet again, we’re subjected to watching the Denver offense in primetime, but they’ll matchup with a defense that has underwhelmed with all their big names. This could be the opportunity Denver has looked for to finally get things going. The Chargers have allowed their last few opponents to run all over them and rank 26th in run defense DVOA. Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone should finally show some signs of life in this game.
Meanwhile, the Denver defense has been as good as advertised. A 2nd ranked DVOA pass defense could give a hobbled Justin Herbert fits, especially if he is still without WR Keenan Allen who remains questionable.
Last Thursday night will leave a bad taste in a lot of mouths about the Denver offense. However, in a game where points will be at a premium, it’s an opportunity to hold your nose and back the Broncos +4.5.
