NFL Week 6 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)
We move on to Week 6 of the National Football League regular season. Remember to set those fantasy lineups before you go to bed on Saturday, as the first kick is at 9:30 a.m. ET for another London game, this time featuring the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears.
There are only two trouble spots this weekend, and they’re in two venues known for poor weather. In Green Bay, there’s a 50% chance of showers, while New England has a 40% chance of precipitation. On Monday night, the wind will be a factor in places like Foxboro, Green Bay, and the NYC Metro area.
We have a minimal amount of indoor games for the second weekend, too, which is nice. Indoor games are limited to Dallas, Las Vegas and New Orleans, and the late-afternoon setting sun can sometimes be a factor at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the Cowboys.
Let’s dive into the Week 6 weather report.

NFL Week 6 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions
All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears (-1) – London, UK | Total 44.5
Forecast: 51 degrees Fahrenheit (10.6 Celsius), 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 3-4 MPH (2-3 KPH)
The Jaguars and the Bears square off in the London game, the second of three games in England in three weekends. The weather will be cool, and mostly cloudy, but there will be no chance of precipitation and very little wind.
Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5) | Total 51.5
Forecast: 76 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 8-11 MPH
The Battle of the Beltway features two very exciting offenses. It will also feature no chance of precipitation, and a fast track in Charm City for QBs Jayden Daniels and Lamar Jackson to do battle.
Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers (-5) | Total 47
Forecast: 53 degrees, 50% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 13-16 MPH
This game at Lambeau Field has the chance to be the sloppiest game of the weekend. It will be rather cool, with damp conditions. The showers should pick up as the game goes along, as a cold front is expected to pass through the area after temperatures were in the 80’s as recently as Friday afternoon. We could see some miscues, and perhaps more of a ground-based attack if the rain really picks up.
Houston Texans (-6.5) at New England Patriots | Total 37.5
Forecast: 53 degrees, 40% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 4-6 MPH
It’s October, and the weather can be hit or miss in southeastern Massachusetts. This one should feature rather gloomy conditions with off-again, on-again shower activity. The rain won’t be particularly heavy, but it will be a chilly drizzle or mist, which could create a slippery ball. It’s a good thing RB Rhamondre Stevenson is out, as that is fumbling weather.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) at New Orleans Saints | Total 41
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
Rookie QB Spencer Rattler makes his first start in place of the injured QB Derek Carr (oblique), and it will be under controlled environmental conditions of the Caesars Superdome. The Buccaneers pass rush could rain down on him, though.
Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles (-9.5) | Total 42.5
Forecast: 75 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 9-13 MPH
The Browns are 0-3 SU/ATS in three games against NFC East teams already. The Eagles look to make it a clean sweep for the division. It will be rather warm, and dry, but there will be gusty winds, now that QB Deshaun Watson needs any additional obstacles.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-2.5) | Total 42.5
Forecast: 85 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 11-13 MPH
It will be a sunny (and HOT) day in the Music City, with temperatures topping out in the mid-80s. There will be a warm wind blowing, with gusts up to 18-20 MPH at times, which could wreak havoc with the kicking game.
Los Angeles Chargers (-3) at Denver Broncos | Total 35.5
Forecast: 67 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 7-9 MPH
It will be a picture-perfect game in the Mile High City, as this AFC West battle takes place under absolutely gorgeous conditions. It will be warm for mid-October in Denver, with only a slight breeze and partly cloudy conditions.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders | Total 36.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
Will this be the game we see QB Russell Wilson make his debut for the Black and Gold? It wouldn’t be surprising to see four different quarterbacks play, as both teams have two guys who could get into the game under center.
Atlanta Falcons (-6) at Carolina Panthers | Total 47
Forecast: 80 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 7-9 MPH
The weather will be on the warm side in the Queen City on Sunday afternoon for this late-window kickoff. The weather in the Carolinas is starting to cool off, so this could be the final game of the season with warm temperatures.
Detroit Lions (-3) at Dallas Cowboys | Total 52.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome
While this game is being played inside at Jerr-ah World, remember, these late-window kickoffs usually have that pesky sunset through the western windows which can probably cause a glare, sometimes in the second half. Do with that what you will.
Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) at New York Giants | Total 47
Forecast: 64 degrees, 25% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 6-8 MPH
The Sunday Night Football won’t have a lightning delay like last weekend in Pittsburgh, but we could see rain showers creep into the New York Metropolitan area, especially in the second half. The chances are only 25-30%. More importantly, there is a 0% chance WR Malik Nabers suits up, and that’s disappointing. It’s more time for him to listen to Travis Scott.
Buffalo Bills (-2.5) at New York Jets | Total 41
Forecast: 52 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 11-14 MPH
For the second consecutive evening, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., will host a night game. While the showers are expected to move out, much cooler air will prevail, with some windier conditions, too, which could potentially affect the passing and kicking games.
