NFL Week 7 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Pittsburgh Steelers (-5.5) at Cincinnati Bengals (Thursday) | Total 44.5

Forecast: 57 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 2-5 MPH

On Thursday night, the Steelers and Bengals tangle on Amazon Prime Video, and it will be a little on the coolish side, with no precipitation and a very, very slight breeze.

Los Angeles Rams (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (London, UK) | Total 44.5

Forecast: 58 degrees, 70% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 10-13 MPH

The weather in the British Isles will be ugly, which is what you expect at this time of year. The Rams acclimated a little bit, playing in a mist in Baltimore last Sunday, while spending the week practicing in Oriole Park at Camden Yards. It could be a sloppy mess, keeping the offenses mostly ground-based, especially with the winds whipping up, too.

Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5) at Minnesota Vikings | Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The Eagles head indoors to U.S. Bank Stadium to battle the Vikings, and they could face old friend Carson Wentz if the injured J.J. McCarthy isn’t ready to go. That’s about the most interesting part of this game.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-11.5) | Total 45.5

Forecast: 64 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 8-10 MPH

The Raiders and Chiefs meet at Arrowhead Stadium for the second AFC West Divisional game for both of these teams. The temperatures will be mild, without any precipitation, but we will have a pretty steady breeze early on.

New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears (-5.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 53 degrees, 60% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 20-23 MPH

They don’t call Chicago the Windy City for nothing. Overnight thunderstorms will tail off, with light rains scheduled for around kickoff. While the precipitation is expected to pull out by halftime, the winds will be whipping up from 20-23 miles per hour (MPH), with gusts up to 30-35 MPH. It’s safe to say that the under is a strong play, as the passing and kicking games will be severely impacted.

Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns (-2.5) | Total 39.5

Forecast: 62 degrees, 70% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 20-24 MPH

The same system that will be impacting Chicagoland will also be impacting Northeast Ohio. The rains will pick up two or three hours before the game, and it will be a soggy track with winds whipping off of Lake Erie at 20-24 MPH, with gusts up to gale force at 35 MPH. Like Chicago, we’ll see a mostly ground-based attack, and that’s where Cleveland’s defense specializes. It is tremendous against the run, so Miami could struggle to cobble together much in the way of yardage and points in the elements.

Carolina Panthers (-1.5) at New York Jets | Total 42.5

Forecast: 69 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 11-14 MPH

The Panthers look to stay hot against the winless Jets, but Carolina will have to battle New York’s defense, as well as the wind. A ground-based attack would suit Carolina well, though, if the passing game is impacted by the winds.

New England Patriots (-7) at Tennessee Titans | Total 41.5

Forecast: 66 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 13-15 MPH

There are early-morning showers in the forecast. If the system slows down, showers could potentially linger into kickoff. However, right now, that’s not expected. Like some other venues, though, we expect to see plenty of wind potentially impacting the passing and kicking games.

Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) | Total 48.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The Colts and Chargers are under the roof for this marquee AFC matchup. The way these teams are playing, this could be a potential playoff preview.

New York Giants at Denver Broncos (-7) | Total 40.5

Forecast: 66 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 12-15 MPH

The Giants and Broncos battle in the Mile High City, and the biggest obstacle for each side will be the opposing defense and gusty winds blowing off the Front Range.

Washington Commanders (-1.5) at Dallas Cowboys | Total 54.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The Commanders are looking to bounce back after a stunning loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night, while the Cowboys were gouged for 200+ rushing yards by former running back Rico Dowdle in Carolina last Sunday. Someone will feel better, while someone is going to continue an unexpected tailspin.

Green Bay Packers (-6.5) at Arizona Cardinals | Total 44.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The Packers hit the road for the desert, and the Cardinals find themselves rather banged up. In fact, things are so bad that the Cards had a walkthrough on Wednesday, trying to mend the bumps and bruises.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) (Sunday Night) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 67 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 8-11 MPH

The Falcons look to carry over momentum from a 24-14 win over the Bills on Monday night. They’re under the lights again in the Bay Area. The Niners are banged up, but they could potentially get tight end George Kittle back. Slowly, but surely, the Niners are getting key personnel back, but they also lost linebacker Fred Warner to a gruesome ankle injury last week, hurting the defense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions (-5.5) | Total 52.5 (Monday Night Football)

Forecast: Indoors

Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome

The Buccaneers and Lions do battle in another potential playoff preview. It’s an NFC Divisional Round rematch from January 21st, 2024, in Detroit - a 31-23 victory by the Lions.

Houston Texans at Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) | Total 40.5 (Monday Night Football)

Forecast: 57 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind Speed: 3-5 MPH

The Texans and Seahawks meet in the second end of a doubleheader on Monday, and the weather will be rather coolish, but no wind or precipitation to speak of. That’s pretty good for fall in the Pacific Northwest.
