San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans

    • Spread Movement: SF -1.5 to HOU -1.5

San Francisco opened this week as the road favorite in Houston. However, we've since seen the spread flip towards the Texans. Early-week money backed the home squad, and the sportsbooks have followed suit.

The 49ers are coming off a 20-10 home victory over the Falcons last Sunday night. They've now alternated wins and losses for five straight weeks. Could it be six in a row for the banged-up Niners? Notably, Brock Purdy's status is still up in the air as he deals with a turf toe injury.

As for the Texans, they'll be looking to get back on track after losing on the road at Seattle on Monday night. Houston won its previous two games against the Ravens and Titans by a combined 70-10 scoreline. We've seen plenty of highs and lows from this team, but C.J. Stroud and Co. get a much-needed return home this week after playing three of the last four on the road.

    Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts

    • Total Movement: 44.5 to 47.5

The Indianapolis offense continues to roll after putting up 38 points in last week's win. The Colts are scoring a league-best 33.1 points per game (PPG) this season while averaging 390.6 total yards per contest (second in the NFL). This offense now faces a Tennessee defense that's giving up 27.4 PPG this year (fifth-most).

In turn, the over/under has risen three full points this week. Indy's offense should have plenty of success at home to set the tone for a higher-scoring game. These AFC North rivals already faced off in Week 3, with the Colts winning 41-20.

Could we see another high-total matchup in this rematch? The Titans' offense could be trending up moving forward after the firing of Brian Callahan. Tennessee scored just 13 points against the Patriots last week, but there were some signs of life. Cam Ward threw for his second-highest output of the season (255 passing yards). The Titans also started well, with 10 points in the first quarter, before things went silent in the second half.

    Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos

    • Total Movement: 48.5 to 50.5

The highest over/under on the Week 8 slate features the Broncos hosting the Cowboys. The total has also increased slightly over the week to its current 50.5 projected total. Dallas has been involved in multiple high-scoring games this season, and it looks like the oddsmakers are banking on that again being the case in Denver this weekend.

The Cowboys just put up 44 points and 409 total yards in last week's win over Washington. CeeDee Lamb's return from injury boosted an offense that's been clicking both through the air and on the ground. Dallas' offense hasn't been the issue, averaging 31.7 PPG this year (second in the NFL).

On the flip side, the Cowboys’ defense is still among the league's worst units. They're allowing a league-high 401.6 total yards per game while giving up 29.4 PPG (third-worst). With its porous defense and explosive offense, Dallas will likely find itself in many back-and-forth shootouts this season. The Broncos have the offensive upside to match that vibe, as evidenced in last week's 33-32 comeback win.

Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs

    • Spread Movement: KC -9.5 to KC -12.5

We've seen notable line movement on the spread for this week's Monday Night Football matchup. It's all tied to the Jayden Daniels injury news. Washington's quarterback has been ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury last week. That means Marcus Mariota will start for the Commanders.

Mariota is a solid veteran backup, but he's still a notable downgrade from Daniels. Washington is also dealing with multiple injuries to its receiving corps, as Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin are in danger of sitting out again. Considering the state of the Commanders' offense right now, the Chiefs are understandably now double-digit home favorites.

It's hard to imagine the Commanders keeping pace with a Kansas City offense that's been rolling lately. The Chiefs are averaging 31.5 PPG over the past four games. Rashee Rice made an immediate impact in his return last week by scoring twice. Kansas City looks like the favorite in the AFC once again, and a comfortable win on Monday is expected.
