NFL Week 9 Odds & Picks: Buccaneers vs. Chiefs (2024)
Last week, I suggested backing the Dolphins at -2.5 and the Jets at -6.5. Miami is now a 3.5-point favorite, and the Jets are up to 7.
These are significant line moves that went in our favor.

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs
While the Kansas City Chiefs went out and found some help in their banged-up wide receiver room, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have so far decided not to.
It’s concerning, especially with how well Baker Mayfield has played up to this point. At 4-3, the Buccaneers are in the playoff hunt but don’t have reliable receivers to throw the ball to.
Mayfield was putting up MVP-like passing numbers. However, with Chris Godwin out for the year and Mike Evans unavailable until Week 12, it’s clear that the Buccaneers will struggle to pass the ball in the foreseeable future.
I’m not ready to rely on Jalen McMillian, Trey Palmer, and Sterling Sheppard.
On the other hand, the Chiefs just added DeAndre Hopkins, who will fit in perfectly with the Chiefs. He rarely drops passes, which Patrick Mahomes has seen a lot of over the last couple of seasons with his receivers.
When the Buccaneers struggle to pass against the Falcons this week, the Chiefs could get to -9.5.
Bet: Chiefs -8.5 (-110)
