NFL Week 9 Early Odds & Predictions: Raiders vs. Jaguars
The Raiders only have two victories after their impressive offseason. Davante Adams is producing at an elite level, and Josh Jacobs is having a spectacular season. Chandler Jones, their biggest acquisition on defense, only has half of a sack this season. He is allowing Maxx Crosby better matchups, which has led to six sacks for him. They need to do a better job of getting off the field on third down. They currently allow teams to convert third downs at a 46% rate, which is bottom five in the league.
The Jaguars started the season well but have dropped five straight games since. They have done well at protecting Trevor Lawrence, having allowed 12 sacks this season. The Raiders own the lowest sack count with nine and have forced the fewest turnovers with only four. The Raiders’ playmakers should give them a slight edge in this tight matchup.
