Miami Dolphins (-5) at Chicago Bears, Total 45.5

Forecast: 63 degrees, 6% chance of rain

Wind speed: 13-20 MPH

Earlier in the week, wind gusts were expected to get up to 50 miles per hour in the Windy City. However, it looks like the strong winds will be out of the area before kickoff. Keep in mind the wind could still be a small factor in the passing and kicking games. The under looks less promising after the forecast improved.

Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots (-5.5), Total 39.5

Forecast: 74 degrees, 19% chance of rain

Wind speed: 15-25 MPH

This ugly game is expected to have pretty nice weather for early November in Massachusetts. However, wind could be a factor in a game featuring two teams that are already run-oriented. The under could be in play.

Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) at Washington Commanders, Total 43.5

Forecast: 78 degrees, 100% chance of rain

Wind speed: 15-20 MPH

It’ll be a warm but soggy day at FedEx Field. However, it looks like the majority of the rain could be out of the area by kickoff. The winds will be worth keeping an eye on as well, although they aren’t significant enough to warrant an under play automatically.

Buffalo Bills (-12.5) at New York Jets, Total 46.5

Forecast: 75 degrees, 55% chance of rain

Wind speed: 15-20 MPH

Another game where wind and a bit of rain could be a factor. Wind hasn’t deterred Josh Allen and the Bills’ passing game before, but this will be his first time facing the revamped Jets defense. Another game where the matchup and weather could indicate an under play.

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5), Total 42.5

Forecast: 72 degrees, 13% chance of rain

Wind speed: 6-15 MPH

Talk about a perfect day for football.

Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars, Total 48

Forecast: 82 degrees, 41% chance of rain

Wind speed: 9-20 MPH

With the rain chance more likely to hit in the morning, the conditions in Jacksonville look ideal for a game with such a high total.

Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3), Total 42.5

Forecast: 87 degrees, 80% chance of rain

Wind speed: 8-15 MPH

Rain could arrive during the game, but not enough to have a significant impact on the matchup.

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-12), Total 46.5

Forecast: 58 degrees, 6% chance of rain

Wind speed: 5-10 MPH

A perfect night for football in Kansas City.

Week 9 Weather Play of the Week

We don’t have a clear-cut weather-related betting deliverable this week. However, I would keep close tabs on the forecasts in Chicago, Landover, East Rutherford and Foxborough. If wind forecasts increase, the unders will definitely be in play for each respective game.
