NFL Week 9 Weather Report & Predictions (2024)

We’re heading into Week 9 of the National Football League regular season. It’s the first weekend of November, too. We have no international games for the second straight week, but that resumes next week in Munich, Germany. We do have two teams on a bye, as the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers are off this week.

As we focus on the weather forecast, it is mostly clear across the country yet again, although we have some crummy weather set for Green Bay on Sunday and Kansas City on Monday night.

Let’s dive into the Week 9 weather report.

NFL Week 9 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions

All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

New England at Tennessee Titans (-3.5) | Total 38.5

Forecast: 78 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 10-13 MPH

We’ll have mostly cloudy conditions and wins sustained at 10-13 miles per hour (MPH), with gusts whipping up to 15-20 MPH in the Music City. The wind could potentially wreak havoc on the passing and kicking games, so be careful, although fantasy managers aren’t likely clamoring to stack their lineups with Patriots and Titans.

New Orleans Saints (-7) at Carolina Panthers | Total 43.5

Forecast: 66 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 6-8 MPH

We’ll have mild conditions in the Queen City and there is no chance of precipitation with just light winds. Panthers QB Bryce Young gets a second crack at the Saints, looking to avenge a 47-10 loss in Week 1 down in New Orleans.

Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens (-8.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 60 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 2-4 MPH

The Broncos hit the road to meet the Ravens. We’ll get mild conditions and mostly sunny skies as Denver tries to slow QB Lamar Jackson, RB Derrick Henry and new WR Diontae Johnson in Charm City.

Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: 67 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

The Raiders head outdoors for the first time since Week 5 in Denver. It will be mostly mild with breezy conditions and mostly cloudy skies. Each time the Silver and Black have been outside, the over is 2-0.

Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) at Cleveland Browns | Total 42.5

Forecast: 61 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 9-11 MPH

The Chargers hit the road for the shores of Lake Erie to battle the Browns on the North Coast. We’ll get plenty of wind and a slight chance of precipitation. Los Angeles has hit the under in six out of seven games, with the under 5-2 in the past seven for the Browns. If the winds whip up, leading to a more ground-based offense, that could help under bettors.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-5.5) | Total 48.5

Forecast: 56 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

These teams meet for the second time this season, and the first time on a Sunday. As the game goes along, the chances of precipitation go up slightly. By the fourth quarter, it’s possible we could get a little mist or drizzle, but nothing to be too concerned about.

Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons (-3) | Total 51.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Cowboys and Falcons battle indoors in one of just three games playing in controlled environmental conditions. With a fast track, we could see plenty of points.

Washington Commanders (-3.5) at New York Giants | Total 44.5

Forecast: 56 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 3-5 MPH

There is a pro game at MetLife Stadium for the second time in four days. These teams meet for the second time this season. Last time, the Giants set an NFL record by becoming the first team to lose after scoring three touchdowns and not allowing any touchdowns.

Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals (-1.5) | Total 44.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

The Bears and Cardinals hook up in the desert. Chicago is looking to rebound after last week’s Hail Mary loss in the nation’s capital. At least it will be dry inside.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) | Total 45.5

Forecast: 58 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 4-6 MPH

The banged-up Jaguars head to the City of Brotherly Love. While the weather will be a little coolish, with slight breezes, Jacksonville’s biggest issue will be who will be healthy at wide receiver.

Los Angeles Rams (-1.5) at Seattle Seahawks | Total 47.5

Forecast: 53 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 2-4 MPH

The Rams hit the road for the Pacific Northwest, looking to maintain their dominance in this series. L.A. has won seven of the past 10 in the series while going 8-2 against the spread (ATS) in the span. We’ll get mostly overcast conditions, or, in other words, November in the Pacific Northwest.

Detroit Lions (-2.5) at Green Bay Packers | Total 48.5

Forecast: 51 degrees, 90% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 12-16 MPH

This is my favorite game forecast of the weekend. I’ve written this piece for the past couple of seasons, and I dislike sunshine, clear conditions and fair weather. I like a mess, and that’s what we’ll have in Green Bay. We’ll have up to a 90% chance of precipitation and we’ll have a pretty steady shield of rain moving over the area. The winds will be kicking up from 12-16 MPH sustained to 20-25 MPH gusts.

That could be a major advantage for the run games of both teams, as the passing games and kicking games might be severely impacted. Also, another item of note, as QB Jordan Love (groin) recovers from an injury, as a precaution, the Packers could be very careful not to have Love on the field if there are slippery conditions, potentially causing him to aggravate his injury or make it worse.

Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings (-5.5) | Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome

This game was flexed into the Sunday Night Football spot, and that’s because everyone wants to see QB Joe Flacco vs. QB Sam Darnold, right? At least it will be under the roof and completely dry.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs (-8.5) | Total 45.5

Forecast: 64 degrees, 60% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

On Monday Night Football, the banged-up Buccaneers hit the road to meet the Chiefs under the lights at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. We’ll have a very good chance of precipitation, with light rain to showers, perhaps keeping both teams to a mostly ground-based offensive attack. That might behoove the Bucs, as they are without WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
