Calgary Flames (-105) vs. Los Angeles Kings (-114) | O/U 6.5 (+112/-140)

The Kings are in a tight race to take the Pacific and come in just two games back of the Golden Knights.

The offense and blue line have excelled all season, but the goaltending was holding them back. You have to love how Joonas Korpisalo has changed the outlook of this team. He’s 3-0-1 with a .921 save percentage since coming to Los Angeles.

The Calgary offense has been inconsistent all year, and it has not always played up to the level they are capable of. We are starting to see that spark, as they’ve scored 20 goals in their last four games.

One of those games came against Jake Oettinger, so they have the capability against great goaltending.

Calgary needs this game to keep their playoff hopes alive, and LA wants the Pacific title. I’m anticipating both offenses bringing the firepower.

Pick: Over 6.5 (+112)

Florida Panthers (-182) vs. Detroit Red Wings (+150) | O/U 6.5 (-128/+104)

Don’t look now, but the Panthers have gotten hot and are a point behind in the Wild Card.

Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has been inconsistent recently. He gave up five combined goals against Tampa Bay, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Vegas, but then 12 against Chicago, Winnipeg, and Montreal more recently. A great performance against New Jersey will hopefully give him confidence.

A couple of weeks ago, the Red Wings surged and were in playoff contention, but that quickly disappeared, and they got just five points in their last 11 games.

Neither side of the Red Wings has played well recently, and they are a -21 score differential in those 11 games.

Bobrovsky could not have his best game, and his offense will still be to support him as they have in recent wins.

Pick: Panthers 60 Min ML (-130)

Ottawa Senators (+182) vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (-164) | O/U 6.5 (-130/+106)

The Penguins could not have picked a worse time to start losing. The team has dropped three of its last five and has just a one-point lead over the Panthers in the final Wild Card spot.

Head coach Mike Sullivan must consider whether putting Tristan Jarry between the pipes is the right move. He’s just 5-5-1 with a .863 save percentage since returning from injury and has been pulled from four games.

Ottawa had the faintest chance to get into the playoff last week, but after dropping five straight, it doesn’t seem likely. That doesn’t mean they don’t want to play spoiler.

You have two excellent top-forward lines against two goaltending units that have not played well recently.

Although the Penguins are a heavy favorite at home, it’s tough to trust them now. Grab the over.

Pick: Over 6.5 (-130)
