Tampa Bay Lightning (-125) vs. Florida Panthers (+104) | O/U 6.5 (-134/+110)

We have the third Battle of Florida with the Lightning visiting the Panthers. It’s been all Bolts, as they’ve taken both games this year.

Tampa Bay is a model of consistency, as they once again have one of the better rosters in the league.

At the top of the line, Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos have 53 goals between them, and Nikita Kucherov leads the league with 53 assists. Each line works so well together and can move the puck, that’s why they have seven players with 20 or more assists.

Then they still have Andrei Vasilevskiy behind the net. He’s won seven of his last nine games.

The Panthers have severally regressed from last year, but they haven’t fallen hard enough with a chance to grab a Wild Card Spot.

The offense is still good, with the fifth-best expected goals percentage, but not on top like last year.

They haven’t been getting a great year in the net Sergei Bobrovsky, who’s struggled all season. Now on injured reserve, it could be either Spencer Knight, but if he can’t go because of an upper-body injury, then it’s Alex Lyon who had -2.6 goals saved above expected in the final six games before the All-Star break.

The Lightning dominated on both sides of the ice in that last game. With Florida’s questions at goalie, they can’t defend the talent of the Lightning.

Pick: Lightning ML (-104)

Calgary Flames (+104) vs. New York Rangers (+104) | O/U 5.5 (-120/-102)

The Rangers were inconsistent to finish the first half, but their talent on both sides will make them fun to watch in the playoffs.

Offensively, they have Mika Zibanejad possibly grabbing 40 goals this year, and Artemi Panarin is averaging over a point per game. Defensively they’re much stronger, allowing under 30 shots per game, and Igor Shesterkin has a sixth-best 17.3 Goals Saved Above Expected.

The Flames are underperforming on both sides of the puck. This was one of the top offenses last year, and although they generate 35 shots a game, they’re middle of the pack in expected goals.

Another surprise has been the regression of Jacob Markstrom. Last year’s Vezina Trophy runner-up is just 13-13-5 with a .893 save percentage and has yet to record a shutout.

Even in the Rangers’ recent losses, they’ve played well defensively. The blue line and Igor should contain the Flames’ offense, and the blue shirts get Markstrom, who was 1-4-2 in January.

Pick: Rangers ML (+104)

Anaheim Ducks (+310) vs. Dallas Stars (-400) | O/U 6 (-120/-102)

The Stars are a fun team to watch, with them having success on both sides of the puck this year.

Jason Robertson is having a fantastic season, as he’s fourth in points and goals. Then you add a great supporting cast and have the sixth-best Goals Percentage in the league.

They also have Jake Oettinger in the net, who’s fourth in the Vezina Trophy odds. He’s coming in today top three in goals against, save percentage, and shutouts.

The Ducks have completely underachieved this season. They have a very talented top line with Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras, who each have 42 points, and Adam Henrique is on pace to set a new career-high in goals, but they do not have any depth.

Dallas should come strong and grab an easy win on the puckline.

Pick: Stars -1.5 (-142)
