Today’s Best NHL Bets

Let’s take a look at a few of our best NHL bets for Monday’s slate of action.

Ottawa Senators (+105) vs. St. Louis Blues (-110) | O/U 6.5 (-106/-114)

The Senators are coming off an embarrassing 7-0 loss to the Avalanche. While they don’t typically lose this badly, the team has been unachieved this season. There are a few talented skaters, but they are struggling as a unit and last in Goals For Above Expected.

You never know what type of game you will get from the Blues. When the forward units can attack the net in some games, they have streaks where they can’t push the puck. Ultimately, it’s the defense with Jordan Binnington’s struggles behind the net that hurts them often.

These are two very similar teams, and it will be close, but I love the Senators edging this out and grabbing the road win.

Pick: Senators ML (-110)

Dallas Stars (+105) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (-126) | O/U 6 (-105/-115)

There is a revenge game narrative with Peter DeBoer returning to Vegas, where he took the Golden Knights to a Stanley Cup Final. He has come into Dallas and turned this into a well-balanced machine with the team in the top seven on offense and defense.

The Golden Knights have not been as dominant as they were in the early part of the season. They’re just 2-2-0 on this current homestead, and the lead in the Pacific is dwindling with the Kraken red hot.

The Stars hold the significant advantage in the net with Jake Oettinger against rookie Logan Thompson who has struggled going 2-3-1 in his past six starts.

Take the Stars as a road underdog.

Pick: Stars ML (+105)

Philadelphia Flyers (+240) vs. Boston Bruins (-300) | O/U 6 (-110/-110)

The Bruins are continuing to make a case as one of the best teams in NHL history by becoming the second-fastest team to reach 30 wins. The forward unit is fast and physical, and the defense is a wall led by Linus Ullmark, who is a Vezina Trophy favorite.

The Flyers are playing exceptionally well, winning seven of their last eight. Carter Hart and Samuel Ersson have been excellent behind the net recently, but the difference has been the offense stepping up and scoring four goals or more in six of their last seven wins.

Philly’s run has been incredible, but the odds are stacked against them. The Bruins have not lost to a team that’s .500 or lower at home and just one team overall.

Pick: Bruins -1.5 (-120)
