Los Angeles Kings (-102) vs. Seattle Kraken (-118) | O/U 6.5 (-102/-120)

The Kings could be missing some of their important offensive talents tonight. Kevin Fiala and Gabriel Vilardi missed the last game in which LA was shoutout by the Oilers. The defense keeps them in these contests, including Joonis, who’s allowed two goals in each game.

The Kraken look like they have the first Wild Card sport secure. That’s a good thing for them, as they’re just 4-4-2 in their last ten. The offense has been hit or miss recently. They’ve got some great performances against the Predators and Stars but were underwhelming against the Sharks and Wild.

The Kraken will face another outstanding defensive team tonight. I’m expecting the Kraken to struggle offensively, but missing players on the forward unit will impact the Kings as well.

Pick: Under 6.5  (-120)

Anaheim Ducks (+365) vs. Edmonton Oilers (-490) | O/U 7.5 (+136/-168)

The race in the Pacific will likely come down to the end, and the Oilers will be right in the middle of it being just three points behind. The league’s top offense continues to excel, going 15-2-1 in their last 18. They have scored at least three goals in 17 of them.

The Ducks will finish with one of the worse records in the league and will be in contention for the Connor Bedard sweepstakes. They already have some young talent to build on, including Troy Terry and Trevor Tegras. Aside from that duo, there isn’t much depth on the roster.

The Ducks’ defense has been awful. The goaltending has been even worse. An offense like the Oilers feature should roll all over John Gibson. The over is large, but it has a great payout. Edmonton can put up more than a large share of this number against average opponents.

Pick: Over 7.5 (+136)

Dallas Stars (+132) vs. Colorado Avalanche (-160) | O/U 6.5 (+108/-132)

This is an extremely important game and could determine seeding for the Western Conference playoffs.

The Stars’ playoff seeding will likely come down to the wire. They have lost their grasp on first place in the Central and are now tied with Colorado for second. The offense has done its part. They’ve needed it, as Jake Oettinger is having a tough stretch by allowing 3.09 goals per game with just a .897 save percentage over his last nine games.

Colorado’s offense will blow you away, especially at the top of the line. Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen are one of the more impressive duos in the league. Rantanen is approaching 50 goals and MacKinnon is coming close to 100 points.

It’s difficult to get two points in Denver. Dallas hasn’t done so since November 2021. Oettinger needs to be perfect. The Avs can easily score and force the Stars to play catch up. I like the Avalanche to grab the home win.

Pick: Avalanche 60 min. ML (-105)
