Carolina Hurricanes (-113) vs. New Jersey Devils (-106) | O/U 6.5 (+106/-130)

The Devils come into this game, winning eight of their last 11 and are just two points behind the Hurricanes for the top of the Metro. The top line has been incredible, with Nico Hischier, Tomas Tatar, and Dawson Mercer collectively having 17 goals and 35 points in their last ten games.

Being a two-way team will help them through this tough Eastern Conference. Vitek Vanecek has been outstanding between the pipes, going 27-7-3 and allowing 2.55 goals per game.

The Hurricanes are playing really well and are 16–3-1, and these haven’t been tight games because 11 of those wins are by multiple goals.

This roster runs deep with 11 double-digit goal scorers, and they lead the league in Expected Goals Percentage.

This is also one of the more dominant defenses overall. Good luck getting through a blue line allowing 25.8 shots per game, with Antti Raanta and Frederik Andersen allowing the second-fewest goals this season.

This is a big game as it could change the landscape of the Metropolitan Division. The Canes are currently playing better than most teams on both sides of the ice, including the Devils. I love Carolina building a cushion in the Metro.

Pick: Hurricanes ML (-113)

Vegas Golden Knights (-146) vs. St. Louis Blues (+122) | O/U 6.5 (-112/-108)

The Golden Knights had a stronghold on top of the Pacific, but now they could see themselves dropping and are just a point up on the red-hot Kings. They’ve done their best to hold onto that lead and are playing really well, winning 11 of their last 15.

The mounting injuries at goaltender have former Kings netminder Jonathan Quick as their new No. 1, something they didn’t think would happen after acquiring him from Columbus as insurance.

The Blues have been dreadful throughout the season, so they’ve begun to trade away some players. There were high expectations for this team, who made it to the Western Conference Second Round last season but have played inconsistently throughout the year.

Specifically, on defense, Jordan Binnington not living up to that big contract he signed.

Quick has been playing well in three games, allowing six goals, and the Knights have won all three.

Pick: Golden Knights 60 min. ML (+105)

Ottawa Senators (+146) vs. Calgary Flames (-178) | O/U 6.5 (-110/-110)

Calgary is flaming out in the final stretch of the season. The team has dropped six of their last eight. The offense was supposed to be one of the league’s best after the offseason moves, but they are just 20th in goals scored per game.

The Senators are likely not making the playoffs, but the team has played well recently, winning six of their last eight. The top line of Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, and Claude Giroux has been great, scoring 13 goals in their last ten games.

Momentum is on the side of Ottawa, and I love them to grab an upset road victory.

Pick: Senators ML (+146)
