Carolina Hurricanes (-110) vs. New Jersey Devils (-110) | o/u 6 (-104/-118)

The Hurricanes are looking great as they have the second-most points in the league, have won 10 straight, and 14 of their last 15. The offense has been doing what it needs to, but the defense has continued to be one of the better units in the league by allowing two goals or more in just four of their last 17 games.

Looking at the New Jersey Devils, you wouldn’t believe they were one of the hotter teams in the league a few weeks ago. They’ve lost eight of their last ten as the offensive unit has begun to dip and have scored just three or more goals in three of their previous eight.

Not a great time to face the Hurricanes when they’ve been shutting down opponents. In the last game between these two, the Canes were fantastic behind the night, but they also were tough at the blue line by blocking shots and taking away the puck.

Pick: Hurricanes ML (-115)

New York Rangers (+114) vs. Florida Panthers (-137) | o/u 6 (-104/-118)

The Panthers are in a bit of a slump coming into today, losing five of their last seven. They’re a team that relies on their forwards to get points, but they’ve been struggling, and the injury issues haven’t helped.

The Rangers, on the other hand, are healthy and thriving. Although they lost four of their last three, they previously had a seven-game winning streak.

They’ve thrived on defense with Igor Shirksonin and a blue line allowing under 30 shots per game. That line will force turnovers and limit a Florida offense already struggling.

Pick: Rangers ML (+114)

Buffalo Sabres (+112) vs. Ottowa Senators (-137) | o/u 6 (-104/-118)

The Sabres have been getting it done on both sides lately and have won five in a row. The top offense in the league continues to be a force, but recently, the defense has been stepping up, allowing 1.80 goals per game in that five-game stretch.

The Senators are decimated by injuries, especially on the defensive side, which has contributed to their struggles. They haven’t been able to play well offensively either and just have not been to make any headway in the standings.

Buffalo has won the first two games easily, and their overwhelming offense will have no problem attacking a very thin Ottawa defense.

Pick: Buffalo ML (+112)
