Top 3 NHL Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (11/19)

This Saturday has an exciting slate of games, with a couple of teams playing well recently. We also have a matchup with some struggling teams that would love to come away with two points.

Anaheim Ducks (+180) vs. St. Louis Blues (-225) | o/u 6.5 (+104/-128)

The Blues are getting healthy at the right time and starting to creep back into contention. After losing eight straight, they’ve won five in a row, including against Golden Knights and Avalanche.

The Ducks continue to struggle this season as they sit at the bottom.  Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras are excellent at the top of the line, but the lack of depth on both sides of the roster will have them going nowhere.

The St. Louis offense is looking good once again with a fully healthy unit, and while the blue line still has some guys sidelined, Jordan Binnington has been a brick wall behind the net.

Pick: Blues -1.5 (+115)

Vegas Golden Knights (-108) vs. Edmonton Oilers (-111) | o/u 6.5 (-128/+104)

Vegas has lost two of the last three games, but that’s the worse slide they’ve experienced this season. There isn’t much to criticize about this team because they come with a slew of skilled skaters and two goalies, allowing fewer than 2.40 goals per game.

The Oilers are playing one-sided hockey, which has them struggling to start the season. The offense continues to put up points, and Connor McDavid looks like he will be in the Hart Trophy race, but the defense is sitting near the bottom in goals allowed.

While the Golden Knights are strong on each side, the Oiler have the talent to get through any defense. This game could be back and forth, but I love Edmonton grabbing the win at home.

Pick: Oilers ML (-111)

New York Islanders (+125) vs. Dallas Stars (-150) | o/u 6 (-106/-114)

The Islanders are returning to glory after a down season. This team has been better offensively than the previous year, and they have been able to attack the net by being fifth in high-danger shots and 11th in unblocked attempted shots.

They will face a quality opponent tonight as they head to Dallas. They’ve been playing well in both zones with a top-10 offense and defense. They’re another team with skilled players to attack the net and the top team in goals above expected.

The Islanders have one of those teams that can get down early and come back late. They play physically for 60 minutes, and they’ll continue to crowd the crease. I don’t have a strong opinion on who will win this game, but I love the over, even with two quality goaltenders in net for each team.

Pick: Over 6 (-106)
