Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins

The Flyers are expected to send out Samuel Ersson to guard the crease. The 26-year-old Swede comes in at 6-7-4, carrying a 3.32 GAA and an .855 Save% on the season. Philly is 28-17 (.622) cashing the GIFT this season, including a 13-8 record (.600) away from Xfinity Mobile Arena. The Flyers have covered the GIFT in five of their last six games, including back-to-back road contests.

On the opposite end of the ice, Pittsburgh will likely roll out Stuart Skinner to defend the net. The 27-year-old Canadian is 14-12-4, carrying a 2.71 GAA and an .893 Save% this season. The Penguins are 30-15 (.667) cashing the GIFT this season with a 18-5 record (.783) on the friendly PPG Paints Arena ice. The Pens has cashed the GIFT in eight of their last 10 games, including five of their last six at home.

These teams’ combined 58-32 (.644) record cashing the GIFT this season including a 31-13 (.705) record in these home/road conditions these two teams should waste no time lighting the lame in the Steel City.

San Jose Sharks at Washington Capitals

The Sharks are expected to send out Yaroslav Askarov to guard the crease. The 23-year-old Russian comes in at 16-11-1, carrying a 3.54 GAA and an .891 Save% on the season. San Jose is 26-19 (.578) cashing the GIFT this season, including a 12-8 record (.600) away from SAP Center at San Jose. The Sea Dogs have covered the GIFT in three of their last five games and five of their last nine.

On the opposite end of the ice, Washington will likely roll out Logan Thompson to defend the net. The 28-year-old Canadian is 17-12-4, carrying a 2.34 GAA and a .916 Save% this season. The Capitals are 33-14 (.702) cashing the GIFT this season with a 17-8 record (.680) on the friendly Capital One Arena ice. The Caps have cashed the GIFT in seven consecutive games, including four straight at home.

These teams’ combined 55-33 (.625) record cashing the GIFT this season including a 29-16 (.644) record in these home/road conditions these two teams should waste no time lighting the lame in The District.
