NHL Parlay Picks: Week 15 (2020)

The Nashville Predators are the latest team to part ways with their coach, as Peter Laviolette was relieved of his duties this past week. Midway through the season, the Predators are currently outside of a playoff position. This is nowhere near the expectations coming into the year for the talented hockey club. Predators’ management is hoping the coaching change will be the beginning of a good stretch of hockey.

In the Eastern Conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning have won eight in a row and have climbed to second in the Atlantic. They are coming off a 9-2 victory on Tuesday night vs. Vancouver, and are getting balanced production from all four lines. The Washington Capitals lead the entire league with 65 points and hold a four-point lead on Boston Bruins in the East. With a 7-1-2 record over their last 10 games, the Columbus Blue Jackets are making a run for a wild card playoff spot.

The St. Louis Blues continue to hold a commanding lead in the Western Conference, as they are seven points ahead of the Stars, Avalanche, Coyotes, and Golden Knights. Only three points separate teams ranked two to eight in the West. It is going to be a dogfight this last half of the season as teams jockey for playoff position.

Bests Bets of the Weekend

New Jersey Devils at Washington Capitals (Saturday, 7 PM)
The Washington Capitals will be hosting the Devils Saturday night after a couple of days of rest. With a 13-4-4 record at home, the Capitals continue to be a strong bet in their own building. The Devils will have a hard time stealing a win on the road. They are bottom-three in goals per game, power-play percentage, and goals allowed per game. Take the Caps to win in regulation.
The Pick: Washington Capitals, Regulation

New York Rangers at St. Louis Blues (Saturday, 8 PM)
The defending Stanley Cup Champions haven’t missed a beat this year. They continue to dominate the West and are one of the best teams at home this season. Their 14-4-3 home record is tops in the league and they will look to stay hot as the Rangers come to town. New York has lost three of their last four and have struggled to play with any consistency this season. Their defense has been a huge problem and the Blues should take advantage Saturday night.
The Pick: St. Louis Blues, Moneyline

Tampa Bay Lightning at Philadelphia Flyers (Saturday, 7 PM)
An offensive juggernaut of a team, the Tampa Bay Lightning has been piling up the goals of late. They have scored 17 goals in their last three games and currently lead the league in goals scored per game. The Flyers have had some issues keeping pucks out of the net of late. In the last four games for the Flyers, they have given up 19 goals. The over is shaping up nicely here.
The Pick: Over 6 goals

Boston Bruins at New York Islanders (Saturday, 7 PM)
In one of the better matchups this weekend, the second-place Bruins will take on the third-place Islanders Saturday night. Both teams are very elite defensively and do not give up many goals. They last met on December 19th, where the Islanders squeaked out a 3-2 win. Expect a low scoring affair in this Eastern Conference battle.
The Pick: Under 6 goals
