NHL Parlay Picks: Week 21 (2020)

The hockey world was treated to another feel-good story on Thursday night. In his first home game since his recovery from addiction treatment, Bobby Ryan netted a hat-trick and was treated to a standing ovation. It was an emotional moment for Ryan, who has overcome a lot of adversity in his career. The former second overall pick will hope to finish his season strong as he turns a new page.

With fewer than 20 games left on the schedule, the playoff race continues to heat up. The Islanders, Lightning, Bruins, Capitals, Golden Knights, Oilers, and Hurricanes all made notable moves to strengthen their rosters. In the Eastern Conference, the Bruins have taken a seven-point lead on the Lightning after a 7-3-1 stretch. While in the West, the Blues have won six straight to stay five points ahead of the Avalanche.

Bests Bets of the Weekend

New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers  (Friday, 7 PM)
After winning four straight games, the Flyers sit only one point back of the Penguins for second in the Metropolitan division. Every point is critical from here on out, and this is a good spot at home. They have a 22-5-4 record on home ice, and it will be a difficult task for the Rangers to steal a win. The Rangers are playing their third game in four nights, while in contrast, the Flyers have been off since Tuesday.
The Pick: Philadelphia Flyers, Moneyline

Pittsburgh Penguins at Anaheim Ducks (Friday, 10 PM)
Sidney Crosby and the Penguins have lost four straight and are not happy with their play of late. After acquiring three forwards at the deadline, the Penguins are well-positioned for a championship run. I expect the Penguins to right the ship in Anaheim on Friday night. The Ducks are bottom five in many defensive metrics, so I expect plenty of scoring chances for the Penguins.
The Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins, Regulation

Buffalo Sabres at Pittsburgh Penguins (Saturday, 1 PM)
The Penguins are looking like a true Stanley Cup contender of late. Despite injuries to stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin this season, the Penguins have played excellent hockey. They have climbed all the way to third in the conference and first in the Metropolitan division. Betting the Penguins at home has been very profitable this year. They are 22-5-4 in Pittsburgh, and they face a struggling Sabres team that is 9-15-4 on the road.
The Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins, Regulation

LA Kings at Vegas Golden Knights (Sunday, 10:30 PM)
The Vegas Golden Knights are perhaps the hottest team in the entire NHL right now. Winners of seven straight, the Golden Knights will look to continue the momentum on Sunday night against the Kings. This is an excellent spot for Vegas, as LA will be on a back-to-back with travel. The Knights are 20-10-4 on home ice and beat this Kings team 5-2 a month ago. I expect this deep Golden Knights team to be too much for a rebuilding Kings roster.
The Pick: Vegas Golden Knights, Puckline
