NHL Picks & Predictions: Avalanche vs. Golden Knights (Sunday)
The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue today with only one game on the docket: an intriguing Game 3 in Sin City, between the Avalanche and Golden Knights, that finds the Avs on the ropes. I've got you covered from a sports betting angle, as I've narrowed in on a duo of best bets from the continuously shrinking postseason betting board. Here are my top NHL picks and bets for Sunday, May 24th.
Sunday’s Best NHL Picks & Bets
Last: 2-2 | Postseason: 13-9 | Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook
Colorado Avalanche (-148) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (+124) | O/U 5.5 (-135/+114)
Vegas has won four straight, including the first two games of this series…in Denver. They have also won three straight games, on the road, by 2+ goals, including Game 1 of this series’ 5-1 shellacking. Dating back to April 11 in the regular season, Vegas has won three straight games against Colorado.
Vegas is a a stellar 10-4 this postseason, including a 4-2 record on T-Mobile Arena ice. It’s hard to believe this is the same team that headed into Game 4 of their First Round series with the Utah Mammoth down two games to one. Since then they are 9-2 and have won three of four home games in that stretch. The fact this squad, with a championship pedigree, is a home ‘dog is bananas. Vegas’ mistake, not ours.
Hammer the Golden Knights and throw some skrilla down on Vegas -1.5. In their non-OT games this postseason, Vegas is 7-1 against this prop, and it’s paying 2.5x. Roll those dice.
Pick: Golden Knights Moneyline (+124) & Golden Knights -1.5 (+250)
