The Islanders won an important game on Thursday against the Penguins, giving them a two-point lead for the first wild card spot. They are getting hot at the right time, winning six of their last eight.

Tonight they get a matchup against the Capitals. Although Washington’s offense is not playing well, the defense has been. The Isles are winning despite Nelson struggling. He’s gone under two shots in seven straight and fell short again tonight.

Gabriel Vilardi OVER 0.5 Points (-110)

The Kings are on a roll by getting a point in 11 of their last 13 games and now are tied with Vegas for first in the Pacific.

The offense and blue line have been top ten all season, and with the addition of Joonas Korpisalo at goalie, they’ve become a complete team.

They’ll go against Nashville, who waved the white flag and became sellers at the deadline. I like how Vilardi has played on the bottom line by grabbing a point in four of his last five.

Jake DeBrusk OVER 2.5 Shots On G0al (-110)

The Bruins could go down in history because they are on pace to have the most wins and points in NHL history. Edmonton came in and snapped their ten-game winning streak, but we’ve seen this team turn around quickly and put together another streak

They’ll continue that goal when they host the Red Wings, who have dropped six of their last seven. DeBrusk has gone under this prop in his previous four games, but I like this matchup with Detroit allowing nearly four shots per game to left wings.
