Thursdayâs Best NHL Player Prop Bets
Odds courtesy of DraftKings
David Pastrnak OVER 4.5 Shots On Goal vs. Montreal Canadiens (-125)
The Bruins continue to move towards history and must win nine of their next 12 games to break the regular season record. Each aspect of this team continues to play well, and during their four-game winning streak, they have a score differential of +14.
Theyâll take on the Canadiens, who sit in last in the Atlantic and will be in contention for that top pick.
The value on Pastranakâs shots on goal prop is good enough to take. He had seven SOG in the last game against Montreal and has gone over this prop in six of his previous eight.
Alex Ovechkin OVER 1.5 Points vs. Chicago Blackhawks (+155)
The Capitals have the faintest hope for the playoffs, but dropping three straight wonât help. Both sides of the puck havenât played well, with Ovechkin being the only player to have more than two goals in the last five games, and theyâve had trouble replacing Darcy Keumpler as he deals with an injury.
Ovechkin had a trick and four points in the previous game against Chicago. Iâll take the Great 8 getting at least two tonight.
Brent Burns UNDER 2.5 Shots On Goal vs. New York Rangers (-105)
This could be a preview of a playoff matchup. Even though the Bruins are having a historic season, the Hurricanes are a serious threat in the east. This team is just as balanced on offense, defense, and special teams and leads the league in Expected Goal Differential.
Brent Burns is an outstanding two-way defenseman, with 53 points on the year. He hasnât had so much luck against the Rangers this year, only averaging 1.3 shots on goal per game, and has gone under in four straight.
