NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Projections: Monday (12/18)
We are so excited to announce that we’ve launched our NHL Prop Bet Cheat Sheet today! As with all things, there may be some small bumps along the way, but please check it out!
Each day for the entire 2023-2024 season, we will be providing our favorite player prop bets from the NHL slate. We’ll post our favorite bets in the BettingPros Discord, which is free to join and filled with info from some of the sharpest analysts in the field. We also just started BettingPros NHL Prop Bet group where you can make bets without having to wager money, but you can compete against fellow NHL enthusiasts.
The model focuses on the prop markets available on the BettingPros NHL Player Props page.
Monday’s Best NHL Player Prop Bets
Good day, everyone! We have a five-game slate with some tricky prop bet matchups. Here are some things to know:
- Anaheim is a sneaky team to bet against overall, but they are allowing 36.72 shots on goal per game.
- Detroit has an expected goal total of 3.88 and an expected POINTS total of over 13 against them tonight. Hence, there are three plus-money bets on the Red Wings below.
- Dallas and Seattle play slow, methodical hockey with very few shots on goal, but part of that is the number of blocks each team accumulates. When in doubt, grab the under on anything that seems high.
- Joel Eriksson Ek has entered Jack Eichel territory when it comes to taking the over on their 3.5 shots on goal.
- Kirill Kaprizov has been a huge disappointment thus far, but his shooting percentage is an abysmal 9.0. This will eventually regress to the mean (near 15%), but I don’t think it’s tonight against Alex Nedeljkovic. Soon, though. And then we’ll jump on his huge plus money anytime goal numbers.
- The Calgary Flames allow a microscopic 27.77 shots on goal per game.
If you have any questions or see a late injury or line change, don’t hesitate to message me @thewonkypenguin on Twitter, and I’ll make sure to update the post/projections accordingly. Keep an eye on my Twitter for additional recommendations, especially goalie props that don’t typically come out until closer to puck drop.
Best of luck to you with your wagers. Let’s win some money!
