NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Projections: Thursday (3/14)

Best NHL Plus Money Player Prop Bets
I joked yesterday on Twitter that I recommended Connor McDavid getting 3+ points, but I didn’t make it the POTD because the odds were lower than Evan Bouchard nabbing two points.
McDavid went on to cash 3+ points in the first 11.5 minutes of the first period. Bouchard cashed early in the second. Basically, if you tailed all of the recommended picks yesterday, you ended up six units richer. The Oilers and Two-Point Machine MacKinnon are why I will tell everyone I see that hockey betting is the best.
So where do we go today?
POTD: Kirill Kaprizov 2+ Goals (+500 FanDuel)
The Wild are making their push for a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. It is a long shot at this point – they are six points behind Vegas for the second spot, tied with the Blues with 16 games remaining. Crazy things can happen, of course, but they need to take care of business against teams like the Ducks.
Kirill Kaprizov is leading this charge with seven goals and three assists in his last five games. The Minnesota superstar has five goals and 10 assists against the Ducks in his career, including four goals in his last four games. He seems like a man on fire at this point, using his 22+ minutes on the ice to be an efficient scoring machine.
You can currently get his 2+ points at +120 on DraftKings, which is the safer (and still profitable) bet. But the POTD isn’t supposed to be the safe bet – it’s supposed to be the long-shot-but-possible bet. I think Kaprizov continues his torrid streak at home against one of the worst teams in hockey, lighting the lamp twice to keep the Wild in the playoff picture.
