NHL Player Props & Bets: Oilers vs. Panthers Game 5 (Saturday)
The Oilers dug themselves a 3-0 hole in Game 4 before making a giant (and necessary) comeback to win 5-4 in overtime. This series has given us plenty of entertainment and plenty of player props to target, so let’s look at tonight’s Game 5.

Play of the Day: Connor McDavid 2+ Assists (+170 bet365)
When Connor McDavid is on home ice, he turns into Santa Claus for his teammates. The moves he makes to place the puck perfectly on the other Oilers’ sticks are sometimes breathtaking (and lead to opposing defensemen calling him “McJesus” during interviews). Edmonton stole one in Florida to regain home ice, and McDavid had five assists in the first two games of the series, both at Rogers Place.
He hasn’t scored yet in the Stanley Cup, so the biggest risk to this bet is him lighting the lamp. Betting him to get 2+ points is way too juiced at -125, but you can hedge the 2+ assists with an anytime goal (+135). Who knows? On home ice, he may just cash all of them.
