Noah Dobson 2+ Shots on Goal (-170)
The 26-year-old defenseman from Summerside, PEI, Dobson looks to get on the board after a slow start. He has no goals and just one assist in his first six games. That helper came back on Oct. 3 in Pittsburgh. He is scoreless in the past four games, but it’s not due to a lack of trying.
Dobson has picked up two shots on goal in three of his past four games. Against the Capitals, he should have ample opportunity to shoot, as Washington ranks 22nd in the NHL with 28.4 shots on goal allowed.
Juraj Slafkovsky 3+ Shots on Goal (+110)
The left winger heads into this game looking to build on his two-assist effort against Buffalo on Tuesday. He had three shots on goal with a power-play assist in the 4-3 shootout win over the Sabres. He is working on a three-game streak with three or more shots, averaging 4.3 shots on goal (SOG) in the three-game span.
Slafkovsky hasn’t been finding the back of the net, but he has the potential to pile up goals and points in bunches. Regardless, if he scores or not, he is a good bet to get to at least three shots on goal against the very giving Capitals.
Martin Necas Anytime Goal Scorer (+170)
The Avalanche picked up a 3-2 road victory against the Stars at American Airlines Center in the front end of a home-and-home. Now, the teams take it to the Rocky Mountains to battle at Ball Arena in Denver.
Necas scored a pair of goals with a plus-2 rating on two shots in Tuesday’s victory, including a power-play goal at 16:14 of the second period, with helpers to Gabriel Landeskog and Devon Toews, and it stood up as the game-winning tally. Let’s strike while the iron is hot, and back Necas to score again on Wednesday.
Miro Heiskanen 1+ Points (-160)
Heiskanen posted a pair of assists in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss, so he had a hand in each of the Dallas goals. He ended up with a shot on goal and a blocked shot while dishing out two hits in 25:09 of ice time.
In the rematch, we’ll take the rearguard to simply record one point at a moderate price. He has picked up at least one point in four of the past five outings, so there isn’t a lot of risk here.
