NHL Player Props & Picks: Saturday (10/10)

A massive 14-game NHL slate is featured on Saturday. This massive board means we’ve got ample opportunities to find the best player props to bet.

Big matchups, whether due to rivalry or early-season records, include Oilers vs. Sharks, Wild vs. Panthers, Mammoth vs. Sabres, Stars vs. Penguins, Senators vs. Predators, Maple Leafs vs. Avalanche, and Lightning vs. Islanders. My props will be focused on these 7 specific games.

Last week’s NHL Player Props & Picks: Saturday (10/3) settled 1-2. We cashed Alex Tuch Under 0.5 Points at -150 odds, while Ivan Demidov and Brayden Schenn both had multi-point outings, resulting in a 1-2 outing with my fade strategy.

I’ve locked in three of my favorite NHL player props on Saturday’s 10/10 slate. Follow me on X @Matt_MacKay for more betting analysis and free picks.

Saturday’s Best NHL Player Prop Bets

      (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Filip Hronek Under 0.5 Points (-125)

Vancouver will head to the Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon. The Canucks have lost 3 of their last 4 games, scoring 4 total goals across their previous 2 matchups.

Cancucks D Filip Hronek mans the top defensive line and first power-play unit, skating over 25 minutes ATOI. Despite these opportunities, Hronek has been held without a point in 2 of his past 3 starts.

New Jersey is a solid defensive team. Jake Allen hasn’t had his best stuff to start the season with a 3.47 GAA, however, Hronek’s lack of recent production, logging just 1 SOG in 3 straight games, creates value on his Under 0.5 Points player prop.

Logan Stankoven Anytime Goal Scorer (+230)

Logan Stankoven’s coming off a hat trick against Vancouver in his last start for the Hurricanes. Carolina’s second-line center has logged 4+ shots on goal in 3 of his previous 4 appearances, scoring 4 goals during this stretch.

Chicago is expected to roll out Spencer Knight in the net tonight. He’s got a 3.35 GAA, allowing 4 goals in 2 of his 3 starts for the Blackhawks to start the season.

Stankoven’s high-volume shooting, combined with a pedestrian goaltender, creates value on Stankoven’s Anytime Goal Scorer prop at +230 odds.

Rickard Rakell Under 0.5 Points (-120)

Skating on the Penguins’ first attack line and primary powerplay unit hasn’t led to much production for Rickard Rakell through his first few starts. Despite playing alongside veteran stars like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, Rakell has not recorded a point in 3 straight appearances.

Pittsburgh hosts the Stars tonight. Dallas is expected to have Jake Oettinger in the net, posting a ridiculous 0.67 GAA, including 2 shutouts. It’s going to be a difficult assignment for Rakell to end his slump if Oettinger winds up being confirmed as Dallas’ goaltender.

Rakell was held without a SOG in his last outing and hasn’t scored a goal in 5 contests. Let’s wrap up tonight’s player props with a fade on Rakell to go Under 0.5 Points at -120 odds.
