NHL Player Props & Picks: Saturday (10/24)
We’re heading into a loaded 12-game NHL slate on Saturday. Some of the marquee matchups include Sharks vs. Bruins, Rangers vs. Senators, Maple Leafs vs. Oilers, Lightning vs. Mammoth, and Wild vs. Kraken.
My previous edition of NHL Player Props & Picks: Saturday (10/17) settled a perfect 3-0. All 3 player point unders cashed by fading Gabriel Vilardi, Gage Goncalves, and Chris Kreider.
Momentum is on our side heading into Saturday’s betting board. With so many matchups on tap, I’ve found 3 of my favorite NHL player props to bet ahead of opening puck drop.

Saturday’s Best NHL Player Props & Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Andrei Svechnikov Under 0.5 Points (+125)
Fading one of Carolina’s top offensive players is a risk but he’s in a tough goaltending matchup and holds value in the point total betting market. Andrei Svechnikov has logged 4 straight starts without recording a point for the Hurricanes’ offense.
Joel Hofer is expected in net for the Blues tonight. Hofer has allowed 3 total goals in his previous 2 starts. Svechnikov skates on the first attack line and primary powerplay unit for Carolina. However, he’s in a slump and faces a stout goaltender, which is why we’re fading him at plus odds.
Dylan Cozens Under 0.5 Points (-110)
Ottawa’s offense has not been lighting the lamp frequently. Dylan Cozens’ role has been diminished on the second attack line, even though he skates on the Senators’ primary powerplay unit, Cozens has logged just 1 point (assist) in his past 5 starts.
Tonight, Cozens will likely face Rangers netminder Dylan Garand. He has a stout 2.30 GAA, holding 4 of 6 opponents to 2 or fewer goals.
Cozens has been a high-volume shooter, recording 3+ shots on goal in 3 straight starts. Yet, his shots aren’t finding the back of the net for an Ottawa offense ranked bottom-10 in goals per game (2.64) this season.
Fade Cozens and bet Under 0.5 Points at -110 odds.
Mason Marchment Under 0.5 Points (-140)
We’ll lay a bit of juice on this final player point total under. Sharks F Mason Marchment has scored twice in his past 5 starts for San Jose, although he draws a matchup against the league’s top goaltender tonight in Jeremy Swayman.
Swayman has a 1.98 GAA in 8 starts. He’s limited opponents to 1 goal or less in half of his starts for the Bruins. Marchment skates on the Sharks’ third attack line, while getting high-value minutes on the primary powerplay unit.
Marchment is in a tough spot on the road against a talented goaltender like Swayman tonight. Bet on Marchment’s Under 0.5 Points prop at -140 odds to close out our NHL betting card.
