NHL Playoffs Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Thursday (5/18)

We are in the final four. The first conference championship kicks off as the Panthers head to Carolina. Florida has had a challenging road to get to this point and will continue against Hurricanes.

Do they still have some magic in them? Let’s look at some players that may or may not make an impact tonight.

Today's Best NHL Player Props

Matthew Tkachuk UNDER 3.5 Shots On Goal (-160)

The magical run of the Panthers continues as they are in the Eastern Conference finals coming from the second wild card. The stellar offensive play led by Matthew Tkachuk, who has 16 points, has been a large factor, and in the last series, Sergei Bobrovsky is looking like the days in Columbus when he won the Vezina Trophy.

What worked for Florida was Tkachuk playing the facilitator role. As a result, he hasn't been aggressive in attacking the net, and he's gone under this prop in six of his last eight.

Sebastian Aho OVER 0.5 Assists (+150)

The Hurricanes are rolling through playoffs with a record of 8-2, including 6-0 on their home ice. This team continues to prove why they have one of the best overall rosters in this league, as 14 different players have scored a goal in the playoffs. They also had the best-expected goal differential in the regular season, and the tandem of Frederik Andersen and Antti Raanta has been excellent, with a combined 4.3 goals saved above expected.

Sebastian Aho was one of their offensive leaders during the regular season, and it continues with a team-leading ten points in the playoffs. He was kept quiet in the last two games against the Devils, but he has secured an assist in four of six home games, and I'll continue to show confidence in him for Game 1.
