NHL Playoffs Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Thursday (5/4)

In these two Game 1s, we saw both of the home teams go down. Those same teams lost Game 1 in the first and would win Game 2. Will that be the same case tonight?

Thursday's Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Florida Panthers at Toronto Maple Leafs

  • Leg 1: John Tavares Anytime Goal (+120)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (-140)
  • Leg 3: Toronto Moneyline (-190)

The Panthers continued their impressive run and beat another higher seed to start the second round.

They were efficient with the puck, and making Matthew Tkachuk a facilitator gave them open opportunities. Sergei Bobrovsky got the start in the crease, and it was his best performance of the playoffs, as Toronto was getting a lot of good looks themselves.

Toronto cannot be upset about how they played. They outshot, had more takeaways, and blocked more shots than Florida. If they continue to outplay the Panthers, the puck will eventually find the net.

The even-strength offense has been excellent this season, with a 54.12% expected goal rate, but the instability of the power play continues. They went 0-for-4 in PP opportunities in Game 1 and haven't converted their last eight.

The last time Toronto lost at home in Game 1, they had a huge rebound game and won defiantly. They'll find a way to get through Bobrovsky and tie this series.

Seattle Kraken at Dallas Stars

  • Leg 1: OVER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (-110)
  • Leg 2: OVER 5.5 Total Goals (+110)
  • Leg 3: Dallas Moneyline (-190)

The Kraken showed why they were one of the best offenses in the league and threw up four goals in the first period in Game 1.

Then it was crickets.

They wouldn't score for the rest of regulation, allowing the Stars to make a comeback and send it to overtime. It doesn't matter, they got the goal at the right time and stole the home ice.

Seattle doesn't have star power, but the depth of this roster continues to help them, as they saw all four of their regulation goals scored by four players.

For Dallas, we were wondering if Joe Pavelski would be ready for this series, and we got those answers. The veteran came back strong and had all four of Dallas' goals. Besides Pavelski, Dallas played did not play well, making a lot of mistakes in the neutral zone, committing too many preventable giveaways, and getting out-physically played.

They didn't play well in their first-round Game 1 loss, despite that, they still sent that game into overtime. We saw from their regular season and Game 1 that they could score against the Kraken, and Jake Oettinger could play better. I'm taking Dallas to tie this series up.
