Ottawa Senators vs. Edmonton Oilers

  • Leg 1: Senators +1.5 (-135)
  • Leg 2: OVER 7.5 Total Goals (+135)
  • Leg 3: OVER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (-180)

The Senators are likely not making the playoffs, but the team has played well recently by winning six of their last nine. The credit should go to the top line of Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, and Claude Giroux, who have been great, scoring 13 goals in their previous ten games.

With Cam Talbot out, Mads Sogaard should get the start. He has struggled in his last three starts by allowing 13 goals.

Edmonton holds the first Wild Card spot in the West, but with 15 games remaining, the Pacific is tight enough that they could climb into the top three.

We cannot talk about the Oilers without mentioning Connor McDavid. It’s rare not only to have a game where he doesn’t have a point, but you feel disappointed when he doesn’t have multiple, as he’s averaging 1.89 points per game.

Both teams should provide plenty of offense, so it should be an exciting matchup.

Los Angeles Kings vs. New York Islanders

  • Leg 1: Kings ML (-145)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 6.5 Total Goals (-160)
  • Leg 3: UNDER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (-105)

The Islanders will go into their California trip having won three of their last four and up three points in the final Wild Card spot.

The goaltending continues to shine with Ilya Sorokin, and his 32.8 Goals Saved Above Expected being second in the league.

They need Sorokin to be great because the offense has been lackluster. They have played better recently, but they’ve been inconsistent all season. Goals leader Brock Nelson has just two in his last eight, and Bo Harvat has just five in 16 games since joining the Isles.

The Kings are an excellent two-way team and are just three points behind first in the Pacific.

The offense and blue line have excelled all season, but the goaltending was holding them back. They traded away long-time goalie Jonathan Quick to Columbus for Joonas Korpisalo, and it’s worked out so far. He’s won both of his starts and has allowed just two goals.

The Kings took the first matchup in Belmont 3-2, but they are a far better team at home and will get the series sweep.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New Jersey Devils

  • Leg 1: Devils ML (-135)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 6.5 Total Goals (-115)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Total Devils Goals (+105)

The Devils are getting hot at the right time by recently going 9-2-1, including a win against the Hurricanes that has them tied for first in the Metro.

The top line has been incredible, with Nico Hischier, Tomas Tatar, and Dawson Mercer collectively having 15 goals and 32 points in their last ten games.

Goalie Vitek Vanecek had a rough few games, but hopefully, he can continue the momentum from shutting out Carolina.

It’s been a rough month for the Lightning, as they’ve gone 4-6-4 since February 15th and are now in third in the Atlantic. The top forward lines have struggled, with just Brayden Point, Alex Killeen, and Nikita Kucherov averaging over a point in the previous ten games.

We know the blue line has struggled all season, but it’s started impacting the goaltending. Andrei Vasilevskiy is allowing 3.30 goals in his last seven games, and Brian Elliott allowed 4.38 in his previous three.

These teams will meet three times in the next five days. New Jersey has been able to play two-way hockey recently, and I love how they’ve been able to attack the net. With that, aggression it will be tough for Tampa Bay to stop.
