San Jose Sharks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

  • Leg 1: Lightning -1.5 (-115)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (-120)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Total Lightning Goals (-165)

For the Lightning, rust beat out the rest as they took a 7-1 beating in Miami.

The blue line has struggled all season, and the Panthers’ offense outmatched them on Monday. They won’t have the cushion of Andrei Vasilevskiy and instead will have Brian Elliott, who’s allowing 3.07 goals in 12 starts.

It’s been a tough season for the Sharks, but there are some positive outlooks.

Timo Meier is tailing last year’s stellar season and could set new career highs again. Then you have Erik Karlson, whose career in San Jose has been disappointing in second with 50 assists and has put up his best numbers as a Shark.

Their goaltending has been atrocious with the league’s worse Goal Against Above Expected. James Reimer has severely regressed with his some of the worse stats of his career.

Tampa Bay will bounce back against an inferior team and we should see offense from both sides

Parlay Odds: +450

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Nashville Predators

  • Leg 1:  Golden Knights ML (+100)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 5.5 Total Goals (+105)
  • Leg 3: UNDER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (-105)

The Golden Knights would love to get back on track after disappointing the last few weeks.

The offense is hurting without Mark Stone. Chandler Stephenson, Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith, and pretty much the entire forward unit have not been able to step up since the loss of Stone.

Rookie Logan Thompson’s record does not look good, but he’s still playing well. He’s lost six of his last seven starts but has allowed more than three goals in just one.

The Predators are in playoff contention, but I don’t have confidence they can make the charge. Defensively, Juuse Saros is one of the top netminders in the league, but the blue line allows 34 shots a game. Then, on offense, besides Filip Forsberg, no one on this forward unit is a reliable playmaker.

It’s tough to trust either offense, as both have struggled to score points. This will be a battle between the two All-Star goalkeepers.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Detroit Red Wings

  • Leg 1:  Oilers -1.5 (+140)
  • Leg 2: Connor McDavid Anytime Goal (+105)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Total Oilers Goals (-120)

The Oilers could be disappointed about having to take a break. They went on a stellar run to end the first half going 7-0-1 in their final eight games.

They demolished their competition with a +21 score differential during that stretch. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who are #1 and #2 in points, had 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Red Wings went into the All-Star break, winning two of three, but it was against the Canadiens and Sharks. Overall they are a bellow-average team on both sides of the puck.

A positive outlook is they have been getting a better performance from Ville Husso. It’s been a disappointing year after a tremendous sophomore season with St. Louis, but he has been better lately, allowing 2.25 goals per game in his last four starts.

Good luck to Husso for matching that against Edmonton. The Oilers should have no problem grabbing a big win.

Parlay Odds: +802
