Today’s Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets

Check out my top three NHL Same Game Parlays for Tuesday.

Los Angeles Kings vs. Carolina Hurricanes

    • Leg 1: Kings +1.5 (-145)
    • Leg 2: Under 5.5 Total Goals (+110)
    • Leg 3: Under 1.5 First Period Goals (+110)

It’s hard not to believe the Hurricanes have one of the better rosters in the league. The offense has been incredible, with the best Expected Goals Percentage, and the defense has continued to be one of the better units with the fewest Goals Expected Against. They are red hot once again, winning seven of their last eight, which includes victories over the Bruins and Stars.

Every game is crucial for the Kings, with the Pacific Division being so tight. Tonight will be vital as they would love to end the first half on a high note going 4-2 on this road trip. The success of the last couple of months can come back to the goaltending of Pheonix Copley. He’s now 15-3-0 this season with 1.1 goals saved above expected and a .950 expected save percentage on unblocked shots. The offense has already been one of the best, and they’re a more balanced team.

The Canes have tread on the tires playing four games in six days. After such a big win against Boston, the Kings could come in with the upset. I like the odds of LA getting a goal and a half and keeping the score low.

Parlay Odds: +645

Washington Capitals vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

    • Leg 1: Capitals -1.5 (+115)
    • Leg 2: Alex Ovechkin Anytime Goal (-115)
    • Leg 3: Capitals OVER 3.5 Team Goals (-125)

After the Capitals were incredible in December, they simmered to start 2023 and have yet to win back-to-back games this month. What could be a lack of chemistry from the team, having players come in and out of the lineup, the offense can push the puck, but they’ve had trouble finishing.

Darcy Keumper has had some wasted efforts recently, but he’s been exceptional all year with 5.7 Goals Saved Above Expected.

We can say the same things about the Blue Jackets. While Washington is still in the playoff hunt, Columbus has the fewest points in the league. Some of their best forwards from last season, including Jakub Voracek and Gustav Nyquist, have missed most of the season. It’s tough when Johnny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine have been a great combo this year, and they don’t get the support from the deeper lines.

With Darcy Kuemper behind the net, the Caps will easily control this game from both zones for an easy win.

Parlay Odds: +624

Ottawa Senators vs. Montreal Canadiens

    • Leg 1: Senators -1.5 (+135)
    • Leg 2: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-120)
    • Leg 3: Senators OVER 3.5 Team Goals (-110)

These two teams will meet again after facing off on Saturday. It was all Ottawa in that matchup as they grabbed the 5-0 victory. The Senators overall have underachieved this season, but they’ve gone on a nice run lately. Long-time veteran Claude Giroux has turned back the clock and is looking great with multiple points in three straight games, including four goals.

Along with the offense playing well recently, so has the goaltending. Cam Talbot and Anton Forsberg have both struggled this season, but both have played well in their last games, including Forsberg’s shutout against the Habs. It looks even better when the defense has allowed 32.3 shots in the previous three games.

Montreal’s defense was atrocious in the last matchup, but that’s not much different from throughout the season, as they are second to last in Expected Goals Against. Offenses can’t easily break through their line, and that’s why they’re allowing the most high-danger shots. The offense is slightly better, being 28th in Expected Goals. There is some talent on this roster, with Nick Suzuki projected to set career highs and Cole Caufield setting a new career-high in goals before his season ended with an injury.

I don’t expect a different outcome from the last game, but the Canadiens will put out a better offensive effort, and we’ll see a higher-scoring game.
