NHL Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (3/29)

Just a three-game slate for tonight, but they are important ones. All three games feature teams that need to collect points as they wrap the regular season for seeding, but also for a playoff spot.

Also, take a look at our other best bets for Wednesday:

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

  • Leg 1: OVER 3.5 Total Maple Leaf Goals (-135)
  • Leg 2: William Nylander Anytime Goal (+140)
  • Leg 3: Maple Leafs ML (-160)

Although  Florida has dropped four straight, they still have a shot at the playoffs because the Penguins have not been able to create separation. The roller coaster season of Sergei Bobrovsky is on its decline as he’s allowed 13 goals in his last three games and has a .841 save percentage in two games against Toronto this year.

The Leafs haven’t been consistent either by going 4-3-1 in their last eight games. Good thing they’ve already clinched a playoff berth, and should hold onto second place in the Atlantic.

Brand new dad Ilya Samsonov made his return to practice and should be back in the crease for this game. The last time he was on the ice, he gave up six goals in New York, but you should feel confident in him tonight because he’s been far better at home this year.

The Leafs continue to play great on offense, especially that top line. You can’t put any confidence in Bobrovsky at the moment, especially with the recent history against Toronto.

Parlay Odds: +579

New York Islanders vs. Washington Capitals

  • Leg 1: UNDER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (+110)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 6.5 Total Goals (-165)
  • Leg 3: Capitals ML (-110)

I don’t think the Islanders appreciated the negative talk about their offense because they flipped a switch. The shutout loss to Buffalo was shocking, but they were on the second leg of a back-to-back, and the previous game went to overtime. The offense is still on a great run scoring 26 goals in their last six games and putting up seven against Toronto and five on New Jersey.

Washington would need a miracle to get into the playoffs because they’ve dropped four of their last five. The Capitals have had success against the Islanders by winning both games, and Darcy Kuemper is 2-0-0 with a 1.94 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

I like Washington to halt New York’s offensive flow and get a win.

Minnesota Wild vs. Colorado Avalanche

  • Leg 1: Mikko Rantanen Anytime Goal (-110)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 6.5 Total Goals (-150)
  • Leg 3: Avalanche ML (-155)

This is the most meaningful game of the night.

Minnesota holds just a one-point lead over Colorado in the Central, so tonight, this could sway the standings.

The offense isn’t going to blow you away, but the goaltending situation hasn’t warranted it. Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson are trading off starts, and it has been successful, and they’re allowing the third-fewest goals per game.

Colorado’s offense will blow you away, especially at the top of the line. Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen are one of the more impressive duos, with Rantanen approaching 50 goals and MacKinnon coming close to 100 points.

The more interesting note is the Wild have out-shot the Avalanche in both games, but Avs goalie Alexandar Georgiev has been phenomenal with two wins and a .939 save percentage. At home, in an important game, I’m taking the champs.
