The post-All-Star Game push is underway as we get closer to the playoffs. We have three games featuring at least one current playoff team with some favorable matchups.

Today’s Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets

New York Rangers vs. Vancouver Canucks

  • Leg 1: Rangers -1.5 (+125)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (-125)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Total Ranger Goals (-125)

The Rangers have burst out of the gate after the All Star break and won five straight. These were convingin wins against quality teams, including in Carolina.

The addition of Vladimir Tarasenko improved an already efficient offense, and with Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider, that’s an excellent frontline.

The defense is also strong, with Igor Shesterkin between the pipes having a 23-8-7 record and 16.5 Goals Saved Above Expected.

Vancouver has basically packed in this season. They traded Bo Harvat to the Islanders, and more moves should be expected before the March 3rd trade deadline.

They have a strong forward unit without Harvat. Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, and Andrei Kuzmenko are each stellar playmakers with 45 or more points.

It’s the goaltending that’s been a problem, and it looks like Collin Delia will be the starter with Thatcher Demko sidelined and Spencer Martin sent down to the minors.

Vancouver has the offense to compete with New York, but the Rangers are playing so well right now.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks

  • Leg 1: Sabres -1.5 (+115)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (-135)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Total Rnger Goals (-140)

The Sabres are currently on their worse run  this season, losing four straight and scoring seven goals in that span.

Their top scorers have been struggling lately, specifically Tage Thompson. He’s playing hurt, and it’s impacting his production with just four shots on goal and a plus/minus of -4 in his last three games.

They handled the Ducks easily in 6-3 win three weeks ago. Supringsly, Anaheim is 5-4-0 in their last nine, but they’ve fallen to earth the last two games giving up 13 total goals.

John Gibson should be getting the start again in the crease, and he’s had a forgettable season with -1.70 Wins Above Replacement.

This will be the bounce-back game Buffalo needs.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Arizona Coyotes

  • Leg 1: Lightning -1.5 (+100)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (-175)
  • Leg 3: UNDER 1.5 First Period Goals (+105)

The Lightning came out of the All-Star break rusty by getting smacked 7-1 to Florida, then an upset home loss to San Jose. They’ve shaken it off with three convincing wins against the Avalanche twice and the Stars.

Brandon Hagel and Anthony Cirelli have been the two stars on the forward unit during the win streak. Cirelli has three goals and three assists, with Hagel grabbing three goals and two assists.

Andrei Vasilevskiy played last night, so it will be Brian Elliott between the pipes. Elliott tends to struggle against good offensive opponents but can hold it down against below-average ones.

He’ll get the ladder when he faces Arizona. The offense doesn’t have playmakers besides Clayton Keller, and Lawson Crouse is showing some upside. The defense and goaltending have been at the bottom all year, and they’re already missing Shayne Gostisbehere on the blue line, and now Jakob Chychrun is also out.

Even with the rest disadvantage, I can’t see the Bolts falling to the Coyotes, especially going against that defense.
