NHL Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Saturday (10/19)
We’re on to the second full weekend of the 2024-25 National Hockey League season, and the information continues to stream in. We’ve seen a few teams get off to a surprising start, good and bad, and trends are starting to develop. It’s a good idea to bet on some historical trends, if they make sense, but personnel changes so much from season to season, sometimes we can get a little too carried away with trends. They’re useful, but be careful not to rely upon them too heavily.
For the second consecutive Saturday we have 13 games on the slate. We won’t even look at the afternoon slate of games, focusing on games on the evening slate with SGPs of +400 or higher.
Below we feature solid NHL Same Game Parlays for tonight’s matchups, and perhaps you can mix and match with college football, or an NFL Week 7 matchup, MLB playoffs, etc. Let’s get started.
Saturday’s Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets

Carolina Hurricanes at St. Louis Blues – 7 p.m. ET
- Leg 1: Hurricanes Moneyline (-146)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Total Goals (+106)
- Leg 3: Martin Necas – Anytime Goal Scorer (+240)
The Carolina Hurricanes (2-1-0) meet the St. Louis Blues (3-2-0), with the Canes playing the second end of a back-to-back after a 4-1 win in Pittsburgh Friday night. Carolina was 8-2-4 when playing on no rest last season, the third-best mark in the NHL behind the New York Rangers, who were 11-1-0 when playing on no rest. The Florida Panthers went 6-1-1 in eight games when playing on no rest.
After a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Canes picked up wins against Metropolitan Division opponents. Carolina topped the New Jersey Devils 4-2 on Tuesday, before beating the Pens Friday. The Under has cashed at a 2-0-1 clip in the past three outings.
Pyotr Kochetkov (1-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .923 SV%) is projected to make the start. He kicked aside 24 of the 26 shots he faced against the Devils in a win at the Lenovo Center (formerly PNC Arena) on Tuesday in a 4-2 victory. He last faced the Blues in a relief appearance on Dec. 1, 2022, making 10 saves on 11 shots for the win.
For the Blues, they picked up a 1-0 win in overtime against the New York Islanders Thursday night behind Joel Hofer. Despite the solid showing, it’s likely Jordan Binnington (1-2-0, 3.02 GAA, .895 SV%) is back in there for Saturday’s game.
The Under has hit in two straight, both at home, after the Over went 2-1 in the three games of the season, all on the road. St. Louis has managed just two goals on home ice in 122:04 so far this season.
Carolina has won five of the past six meetings, while the Under is 2-1 in the past three in the series. St. Louis is averaging just 2.2 goals per game (GPG) in the past six tries against Carolina. Let’s go low, in addition to rolling with the Canes on the moneyline.
As far as the player props are concerned, Hurricanes pivot Martin Necas scored a goal with an assist in Pittsburgh, with both points coming on the power play. Look to Necas as an Anytime Goal Scorer (AGS) for a solid value. Playing the Hurricanes straight up, Under at plus-money and a Necas AGS can help you multiply up by 10 times.

Calgary Flames at Seattle Kraken – 10 p.m. ET

In the late-window game, the red-hot Calgary Flames (4-0-0) meet the Seattle Kraken (3-2-0) at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
The Flames have racked up four or more goals in all four games, averaging 4.8 goals per outing. That’s been more than enough support for the goaltender duo of Dan Vladar and Dustin Wolf, who have alternated starts to date. Wolf is 2-0-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .944 SV%, and it’s his turn in the crease.
These teams met four times last season, with the road team going a perfect 4-for-4. The Flames won 6-3 on Nov. 4 at CPA, while posting a 4-3 OT victory on Nov. 20, both wins as a slight underdog. The ‘dog is actually a perfect 7-0 in the previous seven meetings in this series, and the road team has won seven in a row, too. In addition, the Over is a solid 4-1 in the previous five meetings, while going 6-2 across the past eight in the series.
We’ll roll with the unbeaten Flames at plus-money, as that trend is just too hard to ignore. And it’s not just the trends, Calgary is 4-0-0 this season. In addition, we’ll roll with the Over, although you’ll have to pay a little extra for it.
Jonathan Huberdeau leads the Flames with three goals and three power-play assists, tied with Rasmus Andersson for the team lead in points. We’re going to take a little bit longer of a shot on an AGS prop, however. Andrei Kuzmenko has a goal and five points through four games. Three of his points, including his lone goal, have come on the man advantage. Let’s go with Kuzmenko as an Anytime Goal Scorer at plus-money, as betting his prop straight up can nearly help you triple up.
