NHL Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Saturday (2/8)

On Saturday, there are 14 games on the National Hockey League (NHL) schedule, as things are busy on the ice. We have a total of just two games set for Sunday, as the NHL won’t go up against the NFL and Super Bowl LIX. So, enjoy the busy Saturday slate.

We have two nationally televised games at 1:00 p.m. ET and 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN+, but we’ll avoid the four early games to focus on the evening slate. This will give you more time to formulate your single-game bets and parlays.

Below, we feature solid NHL same-game parlays (SGPs) for tonight’s matchups. Perhaps you can mix and match with Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, or some NBA contests or games from yet another full weekend of college hoops.

These parlays come with +400 odds or higher. Let’s get started.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Philadelphia Flyers

The Penguins (23-24-9) and Flyers (23-26-7) meet at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.

Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby has four goals and seven points with a +4 rating in the past five games, but he is nursing an upper-body injury. He did not play Friday and is considered day-to-day.

The Penguins won the first meeting in the Steel City on December 23rd by a 7-3 score as short underdogs (-107) as the over (6.0) cashed. Pittsburgh has won three in a row in this series and six of the previous eight meetings.

Philadelphia’s most recent wins in the series came in a home-and-home set on December 2nd and 4th of 2023, with wins in overtime and a shootout. The last win for the Flyers in regulation came back on April 24th, 2022 - a 4-1 win in Philadelphia.

In that December meeting, the Penguins fired out to a 4-1 lead through the first period. Bryan Rust, Rickard Rakell, Michael Bunting and Philip Tomasino scored for the Penguins.

A goal by Bunting at 18:48 of the second period was all that bench boss John Tortorella needed to see. Samuel Ersson was replaced after 40 minutes by Aleksei Kolosov. The winning goaltender in that game was Tristan Jarry, one of his final victories, as the Penguins banished him to waivers and then the minors.

Philadelphia has been awful lately, going 0-4-1 in their past five outings, but at least they’ve managed to slowly re-discover the offense in the past two games.

Philly was shut out three times in a row from January 29th to February 2nd by the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders and Colorado Avalanche. Philadelphia is 1-6-1 across the past eight outings since January 23rd, while the under is 4-1 in the past five games, and 7-3 in the previous 10 outings.

Pittsburgh picked up a 3-2 win on the road against the New York Rangers behind Alex Nedeljkovic. The Pens are a respectable 3-0-1 in the past four games, while the under is on a 6-0 run. With the back-to-back situation, the Pens are expected to turn to backup Joel Blomqvist in net, who benefited from the dismissal of Jarry. He was last in between the pipes for a 4-1 loss in Seattle.

Despite the fact it’s Blomqvist, not Nedeljkovic, let’s play the Penguins lightly. In addition, based on the trends for the Penguins, as well as the struggles on offense for the Flyers, go rather aggressively on the under straight up. Make sure to toss it into your parlay.

For a player prop to get us over the +400 hump, we’ll keep it simple. Pittsburgh’s Rakell has two goals and three assists in the past four games. He is a solid play to record at least one point.

Parlay Odds: +481

Anaheim Ducks at Los Angeles Kings

In the battle of Southern California, the Ducks (23-24-6) and the Kings (29-17-6) meet at Crypto.com Arena, with a puck drop scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.

Anaheim has picked up the pace lately, winning the past two games at home against the Montreal Canadiens and Dallas Stars as underdogs, including Tuesday’s 2-1 win as a rather decisive underdog (+214). The Ducks have won five of their past six games.

Los Angeles also topped the Stars last time out, winning 5-4 in a shootout as short underdogs (-104) as the over (5.5) cashed. David Rittich scooped up the win. The Kings are working on a three-game win streak. Darcy Kuemper backstopped the other two victories, including a win over the Canadiens on Wednesday.

The Kings are averaging five goals per game (GPG) in their past three games, cashing the over in each contest. The Kings are also allowing 23 goals in the past seven games (3.3 GPG).

Los Angeles has won each of the first two meetings this season, both in Anaheim, outscoring the Ducks 6-2. The under cashed in each of those games, and the total has gone low five in a row in the series. Los Angeles has won nine of the past 10 meetings since April 23rd, 2022.

Let’s roll with the Ducks on the puck line as an underdog for a good value, and a little bit of insurance. In addition, the under is on fire in this series. We’ll keep hitting it until the offense picks up the pace.

For player props, let’s keep an eye on Frank Vatrano as a potential anytime goal scorer. He has three goals and four points in the past four games. He will help you multiply your wager by more than 2.5 times.

Parlay Odds: +935
