NHL Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (3/4)
10 NHL games are available to watch and bet on Tuesday’s slate, giving us another opportunity to construct an NHL Same Game Parlay with so much value sitting on the board. Tonight, I’ll be taking us to TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts for an interconference matchup between the Nashville Predators and Boston Bruins.
My last NHL SGP settled as a loss, which came from backing Washington as a sizable home favorite against the Calgary Flames. The Capitals fell into a 2-0 deficit in the 1st period and never recovered, losing the game 3-1 to the Flames, while Aliaksei Protas also went under 1.5 shots on goal to only hit one of three legs in a +195 NHL SGP that we boosted to +250.

Tuesday's NHL SGP: Nashville Predators vs. Boston Bruins
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Nashville Predators (+105) vs. Boston Bruins (-126) | O/U 5.5 (-110/-110)
Boston Bruins +1.5 (-350)
Boston is only 1-4 SU since returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off break. The Bruins still have a lot to play for though, sitting in a logjam in the Eastern Conference, only two points out of the second Wild Card seed.
Despite the losses, Boston has managed to cover +1.5 in all five of these games. In fact, the Bruins have gone +1.5 in nine consecutive matchups ahead of tonight’s home tilt against one of the worst teams in the NHL.
Nashville is struggling to score and has allowed 11 goals to the Islanders and Rangers in their past two games played. With Jeremy Swayman confirmed in the crease for Boston, allowing three total goals against the Penguins and Islanders in his last two starts, I expect the Bruins to continue covering +1.5 against a bad Predators offense.
Nashville Predators Under 2.5 Total Goals (+106)
Speaking of bad offense, Nashville is T31 in the NHL for goals scored per game, averaging 2.5. The Predators have scored two or fewer goals in five of six games since returning to action on February 22nd.
Swayman has had a volatile year compared to last season. Yet, he’s still under a 3.00 GAA (2.95 GAA) with three shutouts and 18 wins. He did give up three goals against 41 shots faced on the road against Nashville back in October but this is a much different Predators offense heading into tonight’s game at TD Garden.
Only the Maple Leafs have managed to score three or more goals against Swayman in three starts since coming back from the 4 Nations Face-Off. Don’t expect Nashville’s offense to suddenly gel against a desperate Boston team that has a solid goaltender and plays well in the defensive zone.
Let’s bet on Nashville to go under 2.5 total goals at plus odds for the second leg of our NHL SGP.
David Pastrnak 3+ Shots on Goal (-560)
I’ll wrap up with Boston’s leading scorer and shot taker, David Pastrnak, to record 3+ shots on goal at -560 odds. It’s a juiced line but for good reason. Pastrnak has recorded three or more shots on goal in seven consecutive games for the Bruins.
Nashville’s defense ranks 25th in shots allowed (29.5) per game and gives up 3.4 goals per game (28th) this season. The offense and top powerplay unit run through Pastrnak, who has been red-hot, scoring four goals in the past four games, bouncing between four to nine shots on goal.
NHL SGP (+141)
We’ve got a +141 NHL SGP that can be boosted to as long as +180 with FanDuel’s 25% NHL Same Game Parlay Profit Boost Token tonight. Boston hosts Nashville and should be able to find a way to win this game outright, but out of precaution, I’ve grabbed the Bruins’ alternate puck line at +1.5.
The Predators have only scored more than two goals twice in their last ten games, which came against the Islanders and Sabres. Boston ranks 22nd in goals allowed (3.1) and 17th in shots per game (28.5) but they’ve limited opposing offenses to two or fewer goals in three consecutive games, despite going 1-2 SU in these matchups. This is why we’re grabbing Nashville’s team total under 2.5 goals at plus odds.
David Pastrnak to record 3+ shots on goal is the final leg that should be relatively sweat-free. He’s been the primary shot-taker for the Bruins all season, recording 257 shots on goal, with Brad Marchand sitting in second with 175 shots on goal. Nashville’s anemic offense will lead to plenty of opportunities for the Bruins in the offensive zone, meaning Pastrnak should finish with three or more shots on goal in a must-win game for Boston.
