NHL Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/8)
The NHL regular season is less than two weeks away from ending, giving way to the Stanley Cup Playoffs on April 19th. The Wild Card seeding hasn’t been locked up yet and the top teams are still competing to improve their seeding for potential First Round matchups.
Last week, we stayed hot with my latest NHL Same Game Parlay, cashing a +115 NHL SGP again on the St. Louis Blues. The Blues’ moneyline was the leg that looked like a loser until the final minute of the game. Jordan Kyrou scored the team’s first goal with 29 seconds left in regulation, forcing overtime against Detroit. Cam Fowler netted the game-winner in overtime, while Zachary Bolduc logged three shots on goal to cash his 1+ shots on goal prop and under 7.5 total goals cleared easily during the Blues’ 2-1 overtime win on home ice.

Tuesday's NHL SGP: Vancouver Canucks vs. Dallas Stars
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Vancouver Canucks (+160) vs. Dallas Stars (-194) | O/U 5.5 (-115/-105)
Stars 60 Min Moneyline (3 Way) (-125)
Dallas has already locked up a playoff seed in the Western Conference. The Stars host the reeling Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, beating them 5-3 and 4-1 in previous matchups this season.
Vancouver is the more desperate team but they are 4-4-2 in their last ten games. Goaltender Thatcher Demko draws the start for the Canucks tonight and he allowed three goals in their previous 5-3 loss on the road against Dallas.
I think the Stars take care of business against a Canucks offense that frequently struggles to put the puck in the net. Give Dallas home ice advantage and it’s enough for me to back them to win in regulation for the third straight time this season at -125 odds.
Matt Duchene 1+ Points (-148)
Matt Duchene has been on a heater for Dallas, recording 1 or more points in six straight games. He’ll look to extend his streak to seven games against Demko, who he notched an assist against during the Stars’ 5-3 win back in late January.
Duchene skates on the second attack line and second powerplay unit for the Stars, so he’ll get some quality looks to set up a scoring play against Vancouver tonight. Let’s back Duchene to record a point for the second leg of this NHL Same Game Parlay.
Mason Marchment 1+ Shots on Goal (-780)
We’ll wrap up with Mason Marchment to record at least one shot on goal as our shortest leg at -780 odds. Marchment also earns time on the second attack line and second powerplay unit alongside Duchene and Mikael Granlund.
Marchment has at least one shot on goal in five straight games, including seven of his last eight. He logged two shots on goal against Vancouver during Dallas’ 4-1 road win on March 9th. It’s a solid leg to close out our NHL SGP.
NHL SGP (+182)
If you claim the FanDuel NHL Profit Boost Token, this +182 NHL SGP can be boosted to +228 odds. We’re fully invested in Dallas at home against Vancouver tonight. A win in regulation is the first leg, followed by a pair of player props, backing Matt Duchene for 1+ points and Mason Marchment to record 1+ shots on goal.
This feels like a relatively easy winner and we’ve been hot on the ice with the last few NHL Same Game Parlays. Let’s keep the momentum rolling and cash tonight’s NHL SGP by backing Dallas and its second-line forwards to produce in a regulation win at American Airlines Center.
